Good selection of wing sauce and $1.40 for a pound of wings on Mondays! The service was pretty good for a bar, and the washroom was clean. There was a lineup but it’s pretty quick for 2 people to get in. Will be back
Never a disappointment. Their house beer is good (lots of selection of beer in general). When it gets busy, the service can be slow, but most nights it’s good, quick and friendly service. Our favourite is the chicken, bacon and leek boxty. Absolutely delicious, and the wings are quite large and juicy for $0.14 on Mondays. This place used to be a bit of a dive, but it seems they’ve really turned the place around. Now it seems to always have at least a few tables full of people when we go in.
Only ever been here for wings but they’re pretty good and have a decent selection of flavours. Downfall is that it’s quite dark inside, it’s usually very loud and it smells like piss. Went once and thought it was maybe just a rowdy/rough night so went back again when we received coupons for their wings (can’t remember where from now) and had the same experience. Won’t be back.
Like most Calgary’s best pubs locations the beer selection is decent. Food is tasty and some traditional dishes like the boxty and pot pie are a nice change of pace. Service tends to be slow even on less busy nights but is always friendly. On par with most of the Irish themed pubs in the city
Only been here for brunch and their Wednesday burger special. Not bad! Service was good, very fast, would definitely return to try more food.
Worst sheppards pie I have eatin in my entire life
Been there three times (unfortunately) and had a terrible experience all 3 times. Service is terrible. I went there for st Patricks day last year and the Irish pub had no specials and the specials they normally had for that day were off. Another time I went and they charged me for three drinks that were not mine and refused to believe they weren’t mine. And the most recent time I was there I sat down for 30 minutes before anyone asked what I wanted. Then I waited another 20 minutes to get my drink. Will not be going back
