A very lively place on any day of the week. Nice ambiance and atmosphere. The restaurant is very clean and the team seems very organized and on the ball all the time. Of course the food and service are what you come for and they are top notch. I was surprised that for meals that include an all-you-can-eat salad, soup and bread component, the prices are so reasonable too.
Great pasta and pizza! It’s a little bit of a drive since there is only one in the city, but it is worth it, and it is clear from the service and the quality of the food that there is a reason why they’re still around. Great deals, great value for your hard earned $$$
Service is barely mediocre, and the menu is very misleading. My boyfriend and his friend ordered Veal Parmigiana. Where the description said it features 2 lightly breaded Veal cutlets, they both received one small cutlet. To top it off, it was served overcooked and nearly impossible to chew. We confronted our server about this, who called over the manager only to have him say they changed the portion to keep it as one piece rather than have it cut in half like they usually do (this still does not explain how small the cutlet was nor did they tell us why the menu was incorrect). Management did nothing to resolve this and only told us as it was. Furthermore, our server took down our other friend’s order completely wrong (while failing to apologize to him), making him wait longer for his food, which unsurprisingly also came overcooked. Overall, our food portions were too small to fill us up and we ended up ordering fast food afterwards. Needless to say, we will never visit this establishment again.
Not really in My wheelhouse. People who think this is Italian need to get out more. American Italian food is about as authentic as TexMex is to Mexican. And no, Italians don’t twirl spaghetti into their spoons. But it’s got free kid meals and the grownups can still get a good stiff drink — you’ll need it if you know what real Italian food is. Although that’s getting old fast as the kid’s tastes grow up. Thankfully.
It’s been years since I have been to this place and tonight’s service was great. Waitress came and checked on us and give us refills on drinks and garlic bread, salad and soup. I got the seafood linguine ans substituted alfredo sauce instead of the tomato sauce. It was super tasty with tons of mussels and shrimp. I was satisfied with it. I got to hang out with my best friend and her son and didn’t feel rushed to leave after we got the bill. Nice place to take your families to.
Was in a few days ago for dinner. Had never been to East Side Mario’s before and honestly wasn’t expecting anything special but were we ever wrong! Might be one of my favorite places to go and eat now.
The service here is always excellent. I have never had a bad experience. It doesn’t matter where you sit or who the server is either! You could have just as good of a meal at the bar on a busy friday night being taken care of by the bartender Caesar if you don’t feel like waiting for a table (what can I say, I suppose I’m impatient!)The service team, the cooks and the managers have it all together. We always have the manager stop by the table and he is always helpful and everyone from him to the host staff are inviting and friendly. If I had to make a recommendation for food I’d go for the parmigiana. They have chicken, veal and portabella mushroom. I’ve never tried the veal but the other two are excellent so I’d imagine that one is too. Always impressive, always leave happy and (most importantly) full.
