Horrible experience. I highly recommend you give this place a skip. I went with my husband and daughter. We had a sample platter for appetizer. It came with two dipping sauces that the server spilled as she sat the plate down. The sauces ran into each other and made a mess, she just ignored it and rushed off. The food was borderline burnt. I’m pretty sure it was double fried, it was very greasy with pools of oil on the plate. I pressed an onion ring and it dripped oil. My husband had the potroast dinner. It looked like chewed up dog food and had no flavor. My burger was ok, but just kind of thrown on my plate. My slice of pickle was buried under my fries. It felt like whoever made it just didn’t care. My daughter had waffle and chicken, her chicken strips were double cooked, very dark in color, dry and greasy. I don’t even know what they did to her waffle. I think it was reheated too or something because when I went to cut it out turned to dust! It was crispy and flaky and just fell apart. Our server didn’t check on us even once. I think she knew the food was shit and didn’t want to ask how everything was going. I’m sorry IHOP, but eating out isn’t cheap, and I’ll never throw my money away on that crappy food and service again. I strongly urge people to do the same.
It has been more than an hour that we sat and there is no food yet. The waiter took the order after 25 min and 45 min after that we had just a salad and a appetizer sampler. I want to mentioned that the restaurant is less then half full. I’m not sure if we’re coming back here. Food quality ….. nothing special. I ordered chicken on mashed potatoes and broccoli and I had after 45 min only chicken and broccoli, mashed potatoes were nod ready and came after 5 min.
IHOP has provided me with the worst two restaurant experiences of my life, If I could have I would have given a lower score. The first was when I discovered a slice of bacon hidden inside my shredded hash browns, I had already eaten two bites by the time I found it. Being a vegetarian the entire meal was ruined for me, the fact that they knowingly(there was no conceivable way it could have been missed) gave that to a customer is horrifying. Their response was a measly 5 dollar coupon, I still had to pay for a meal that I didn’t eat. The second experience happened after I begrudgingly gave them another chance yesterday. There were three servers in our section one of whom I made direct eye contact with and yet we were not served yet people seated after us were. We waited for nearly half an hour then left and wont be going back again.
Hello, everybody, I want to recommend this restaurant, Ihop in Shawnessy, the food is good, clean, friendly staff and the service is awesome, I really recommend Jass, she always is looking to see if you need or if you have any questions, GOOD JOB Jass
Classic breakfast joint. I’ve eaten there once, it was ok. Nothing to rave about. Just a place to grab a quick breaky. Problem is last few times we’ve visited, the wait has been so long we end up going somewhere else. Not worth the wait.
my boyfriend and I decided (based on fantastic reviews) to have breakfast at IHOP before Stampede on July 8th, everyone was very nice when we entered and they sat us very quickly. we sat down and ordered drinks when i noticed an ant crawling on the table, not a big deal, so i squish it with a napkin and throw it in the bathroom garbage. our food arrives and i put syrup on my pancakes and right before i ate it, my boyfriend noticed ANTS ALL OVER MY PANCAKES. The ants hadn’t been there before which means that they all came from the syrup bottle. We called the hostess over and she immediately apologized and said they had been having ant problems by the windows (we weren’t even close to a window), she moved us to a different table and brought us new food which was very nice of her, but, in the long run, they moved us, said sorry and still made us pay for our meal. Will most definitely not be going back based on my experience there.
The service was the worst I have ever had. They didn’t bring my daughters food out at all. Then they didn’t bring both kids drinks. We never had a water refill or anyone ask how our meal was (which was not good). They didn’t even bring our bill. 45 min after we were done we had to walk to the front to ask for a bill. Bathrooms were disgusting and it wasn’t even busy. Many servers but none came to our table. I’m never going back to this dump
