We ordered shrimp salad rolls to start, and while the rice paper and noodles were done, the shrimp was very fishy tasting. Yes, I get that it’s seafood, but usually I don’t find fresh shrimp to taste very fishy. That was a miss.I ordered the medium rare beef pho and was disappointed. I love pho and I have a regular place I go to for it, but since moving closer south it’s a bit of a drive to get it now. So I have very very high expectations. The broth was greasy, you could literally see grease floating, and honestly, even though I like cilantro that’s all you could taste. There was no basil given which is a much needed boost to any pho. The beef was sliced very thick and wasn’t what I’m used to. The beef should seemingly melt in your mouth, this was certainly quiet chewy. I wouldn’t return.The service was good, which is why it gets 2 stars.
Food was average at best. Went there with a friend for the first time the other day. Service was quick, though I should mention there were only two other customers besides us. The vermicelli was okay but boring, for $13 I expected just a touch more. I think what bothered me the most was the fact that even though they close at 9pm, they stopped refilling my water well before 8, brought over the bill and asked us pay for it 10 minutes later. Turned off the background music at 8:30 and then shut off half of the lights at 8:40. It was very rude and I will not be returning.
Delicious food!! We had a great experience there! The price is reasonable. Best subs down south. service was very good. highly recommended!!
Vietnamese let-down. My wife and I normally enjoy Vietnamese cuisine for both it’s delicate flavors and it’s spicy dishes. Ordinarily, the meals we ordered are very quickly served and the customer service is fantastic. This place however, was more than a disappointment. We waited over an hour just for them to bring us a menu, let alone a glass of water. There was an abundant flurry of apologies after I made a comment regarding the wait times with excuses regarding how busy their slightly larger than half capacity. There were no napkins, nor utensils offered until after we sat there staring at our meals for almost 20 mins, and again, I had to call over a server to request them. The meal that was eventually given to my 6 yr old son was so incredibly spicy that he was unable to eat more than a single bite after waiting almost 2 hours after arrival. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone who wants to try a Vietnamese restaurant at all.
Mimosa is a solid vietnamese restaurant. Food is always fresh and tasty but the service definitely lacks. I have been here many times and always leave satisfied with what I paid for. Its not the cheapest vietnamese option in the area but one of the higher quality ones.
Delivery fail. I was happy to see they had rice paper spring rolls since I’m very intolerant to wheat and they accidentally sent regular spring rolls and when we called them they basically just said oops…. without offering to correct it. Good thing i didn’t eat the spring rolls or else I would have gotten very sick.
Service is very slow and owner is always on the computer. Food was actually not too bad but the last 3 times I’ve been there, the service is always slow. There seems to be only one server who takes your order, bring your food to the table and refill your water and he’s always so slow doing that. What annoy me most is the owner. He is always on the computer checking something on the internet. He should be helping out and hence with one server and owner basically none existence, service is very slow.
