Disappointing. Not sure what is going on at this location but my two lattes have been tossed because there was barely any coffee in it. I have ordered their medium, non-fat latte for some time without issue. Usually full-bodied like it should be but the past couple of times it tasted more like steamed milk w/ a bit of coffee flavouring. Not paying $4.15 for that!
Great Service. I am surprised to read these reviews as i have had nothing but great experiences at this location, and i am there at least twice per week. The staff is friendly, know us by name and remember our drinks…no complaints. Great atmosphere too!
What a terrible experience…. Just a horrible Second Cup. I ordered a simple latte, tipped the barista, and proceeded to wait 15 minutes for an americano. I sent it back, reminding them I ordered a latte, and they proceeded to tell me that I did not, in fact, order a latte, I ordered an americano, and I can take it, or get back in the line and order again. Pardon me? I believe I know what I ordered, and I paid for, and you’ll make it for me immediately, please. I’ll never return to this awful location, and by the looks of it, neither will many here, save the Sandra below who tried to find something good about this location where there really is none.
Horrible, Horrible. Horrible service is the hallmark of this place. Took longer than the drinks for snacks to be removed from the display shelves, onto plates, and to the counter (well over 5 minutes). Then my 8 year old son knocked over my drink while I was bringing the snacks to our table. The lady there seemed put out about having to clean the floor, and there was no offer to replace my drink. Will not return
We have always had great service at this second cup. It can get busy, but worth the wait. I read the reviews below, and how easy it is to knock someone down when they are having a rough day. No business is perfect, and it is easy to have hiccups that sometimes aren’t easily over come. Did the people complaining ever stop to see what the circumstances were or to talk to the owner. Maybe a machine was down who knows. as for the Dan who had his feet on the table. yuk, I’m sorry, I don’t want your sticken feet on my table, and if you wanted to be served and treated with respect, maybe you should behave like a valued client. Love the London Fog great on a cold wet day.
Just Awful. Was a regular until got pushed over the edge today. Ordered a coffee and was told they are out, new pot will be made in a minute. After waiting for 30 minutes still no coffee and the line-up was building up with upset customers waiting/order their items.Only two workers one site with one being on the phone with her boyfriend while the other lacked competence to even make a pot of coffee on her own; this is the first time in my entire life that I walked out of a cafe.Seriously, this place was notorious in the past couple of years for having awful customer service but the fact that nothing has been done by this multi-million dollar company to fix this is beyond me.Walked over to a starbucks next door and was out the door with coffee in hand 5 minutes later.
Awful Customer Service. Recently a group of friends and I visited this Shawnessy location Second Cup. Extending our business, out beverages were less than satisfactory, and in addition, the middle aged blonde haired woman on staff, aside was a younger darker haired sour-looking girl, were absolutely nothing but rude to our group. Extending absolutely no congeniality to us, the blonde middle aged woman basically, in essence, to remove ourselves from the location, as one member of our group was resting his foot on a small table. After sitting and talking and sipping for 20 minutes, and no previous kind asking to remove his foot, she told us to get out, and sit properly? I think not, after we extended our business, and tipped the sour-looking barista more than enough. DO NOT extend business to this location until they learn how to DO business. CUSTOMER SERVICE is IMPORTANT.
