I had a great first time experience at Biera. The server was truly invested in making sure the meal made sense. He offered his suggestions on which dishes paired well and even the order in which the dishes should be served. Portions are not huge so 4 dishes were just enough to satiate my party of three. Dishes are meant to be shared so we had the following: beef tartare (an absolute must try), radicchio (surprisingly fresh, crisp and sweet – a wonderful accompaniment to the meat dishes), steak, and the hedgehog mushrooms (my favorite of the night). Expect to be pleasantly surprised by the layers of flavours on these beautiful and quaint plates. Biera also has an excellent drink menu – including non alcoholic beverages. I quite enjoyed my cold earl grey styled iced tea.

Ive been twice now and want so much to love it. The atmosphere is great – love the decor. Unfortunately the food is trying to be imaginative and sounds delicious but often falls flat – disappointing, especially considering the price. Ill try once more….

Felt this place was a bit overrated. Food was presented well, but tasted ok. I ordered the flight of beer to try a few different types and most were very good. Would not go back for the food, but maybe for the beer.

I was actually very confused trying to find this place, it is actually inside Ritchie Market which also houses various other businesses. The service and food was good but I feel like the environment is cold and lacking a restaurant feel. For what you get, the food is also somewhat expensive. I recommend going else where unless you really want to try this place out.

Food quality and service were excellent but the portion size on most of the dishes is extremely small; the twelve dollar bread plate is literally just a single large piece that has been cut in half to make two pieces, but with two generous portions of butter (more than necessary for two pieces of bread). Not a place to go when you’re hungry; best enjoyed when you’re just a tiny bit peckish but love good quality food.

Really friendly and knowledgable staff. Great recommendations. Food is unique, tasty and wonderfully presented. Atmosphere is super cool. Industrial style with attention to detail. Will be back! The blood sausage was so fluffy. Beets are the best in the city!!!
