I have a severe (anaphylactic) seafood allergy. Requested the order taker double check with the kitchen to ensure there’s no seafood in the wonton soup. Half way through a bowl of the soup I found a whole shrimp. (See photo)Ordered once previously and the food was pretty mediocre. But thought I’d give the wonton soup a chance to nurse a cold.
Yummy. We tried it because it’s a 2 min drive and you can order online. The food was ready in 20 min and tasted fresh. Definitely would eat here again. I think my favourites were the chicken balls and lemon chicken.
The food is consistently O.K., the food is ready for pick up quite speedily, and the prices are reasonable. Here’s the down side: after ordering from them many times over the years of living in the neighbourhood I noticed, today for the first time, that they automatically tack on a gratuity. Then, when paying with a card (as, sadly, most of us do) there’s the gratuity option as well. Am I being overly sensitive here or is this all a bit dodgy?
