I don’t think I’ve ever had German breakfast before and I am so glad my aunt/uncle took us there last week. The potatoes pancakes and bratwurst sausages were to die for! Love the home style atmosphere. Highly recommend everyone to try.
Our friends brought us here as we drove in from Winnipeg. Did not expect so many things at this place. Many good things that is. Every portion is huge and you get your money’s worth. Everything tastes great! Home made feel and home made sauces such as their mustard and curry ketchup is another plus. Even their single Belgian waffle was easily split between 4 of us. Great service and you wouldn’t expect so much looking at the place but that’s the best part because the greatest places are always hidden away! Will definitely return!
I worked at Barb and Ernies, I know he had problems with the Davydukes, Russell and Anne who he pursued with the Police about the thousands of dollars he believed they stole from him.But the FUN part is Barb and Ernie at that time were SWINGERS, let me put it to you this way, more that food was being cooked on the grill after hours.
I have been here a couple times for breakfast, usually a pretty busy place. Love the eggs benny. Good food, good service, no complaints. Will be back!
Went here for breakfast with a few friends. I have never been here, so I was excited to try it out. The restaurant got packed really quickly which I guess is a good sign. We were seated right away, but it took me a while to order as there was quite a selection on the menu. I ended up ordering the breaded schnitzel with poached eggss. Having been to Munich and eating a schnitzel there; the schnitzel I ate here was okay. I thought it was a little under seasoned, but I guess there is salt and pepper on the table for you. Service was alright. Wasn’t fast and it wasn’t slow either. I really like the interior of the restaurant as I also like the style of the building the restaurant was in. It did remind me of Germany. Overall not a bad place for breakfast.
Wow was that a big breakfast. Food is fast and home cooking. Have never been but we will be back for the non stop coffee and great service. Come early because they are busy!!!
must try breakfast! if you haven’t been to barb & ernie’s i highly recommend you give them a try. their breakfast is delicious! i had a ham, cheese and mushroom omlette which came with a home-made shredded hash. the hash went great with the sauces that were at table side; several different home-made sauces which were all delicious. one of the the sauces i really liked in particular and wish i could buy in barrels. it tasted like a honey mustard sauce but with extra textures. please try this place for breakfast! great service, tasty breakfast !
