Chicken tasted like it had been cooked 2 weeks ago. I went out with friends, but I wasn’t super hungry because I had recently eaten, so I ordered the salad. BIG MISTAKE. The chicken was barely palatable. Not wanting to make a big deal, I ate it anyway, but was further disgusted by a bunch of dirt at the bottom of the bowl. Disgusting. Not only that, but the salad cost $12, with a FORCED 15% tip! Will not return.
We were promptly served by Jill with a cheery greeting even though the weather was terrible! Her service was awesome as was our breakfast. More flavourful than at higher priced establishments. Will return
People go missing. I took a girl out on a blind date. I asked her where she wants to eat, she said anywhere, so i took her here. Food is decent. I came backl from the bathroom and she was gone She never emails me anymore. I hope she is OK.
Secure your signage. My husband and I went to HH for breakfast this morning, while dining another table were leaving, as a child swung his jacket he hit a sign, it landed on my head. Nobody from HH rushed over to see if there were any injuries, my husband removed the sign, I required immediate fresh air or your other diners would likely have had their meals ruined too. The final insult was when my husband asked for the bill one was given to us for both meals even though I had been traumatized in your restaurant and had not eaten. The food usually like diner food, the service is not the best and the prices are in range with others in the same area. I will not be going back.
I was charged $5.58 for two cups of coffee, which I didn’t know was the exorbitant price when ordering. Two all day breakfasts and one glass of orange juice and a hamburger came to $41 with $4 tip, $45!!! Salad with the burger was lettuce which was due to turn in about ten minutes. Felt ripped off. I’ve been in lot’s of diners in the US and Canada and these prices are high.
Good diner, good service. I’ve been going here for years, it’s not blow your mind amazing, but when you need a quick bite at a good price it’s a great place to pop in. The poutine is enormous for the price, and the breakfast is really good too. One of the few places that will actually let you play a game of cards at the table without giving you the whole AGLC warning about gambling also. Can’t people play a game of crib anywhere anymore without management freaking out about gambling. Who gambles on cribbage?
Breakfast Review. I have been here three times and each time same thing. Ignored by waitresses for some time while the diner is not busy at all. Lots of talking between waitresses and kitchen staff – who are especially loud and chatty. While I went for a traditional big breakfast, it was heavy in grease and far too much cheese, which was also too greasy. I asked for decaf coffee and my waitress said she would make a pot. She never did! The regular coffee (2 cups) was brown sludge. Overall the meal was greasy and heavy and I needed an antacid afterward. I will definitely not be returning.
