The best Peruvian restaurant in Edmonton. I can’t speak for any of their other dishes as I stuck with most of their Peruvian dishes. I have to admit, excellent ceviche. The service was great, very friendly staff. Atmosphere was great. Really enjoyed the layout of this restaurant. I found it a bit pricey, thats why I give it 4.5. Would I come back, Most likely, but not as often as I would like due to price. Definitely a must visit.
The service was amazing. The food was very fresh, and really tasty. The atmosphere made me feel like I was in Mexico. It was a really fun place to go and I would certainly return.
Nice little brazillian food location, pretty authentic feeling atmosphere, this place even has a dance floor and live singing!. The food is abit on the pricey side, about 20$ per entree with smaller portions. We had some seafood dish, and i got to say very surprisingly good, very very fresh fish and perfectly cooked. I personally wouldn’t come back tho, based on i would rather eat other foods, but this place is a must visit if ur into something different and good.
Walked in, it was super dirty and sketchy, waited 5 min and no one came to see us or seat us so we left. Won’t be returning because the customer service was non existent.
I tried Peruvian speciality dish with chicken and potato and rice. It was called the Aji De Gallina $16. It wasn’t very flavourful at all. I had to ask for hot sauce and even that was more like a bbq sauce (Valentina’s). The menu said it should taste like Parmesan and parsley and the term Aji was a chilli so I thought there would be some spice, but tasted like just cream. The dish was mushy and couldn’t even eat the leftovers I took home. I do like their Peruvian pop Inca Kola that I tried which tasted like pineapple cream soda. I also liked their loaded an hose with beans on the side. People mostly seem to come here for salsa dancing and drinks, not the food. They have free salsa dance lessons Saturday night.
I’m not usually one to give negative reviews, but I’ve rarely been as disappointed with a restaurant. We came for lunch and the place was almost empty. Seated ourselves and waited 5 minutes before we even saw an employee, and that was when the waitress brought out food for the other group. Who knows how long it could have been? This is Edmonton, so I wasn’t expecting very authentic food, but what I didn’t expect was entirely bland food.My wife had fajitas, and her steak was nearly unseasoned. My plate came with rice and beans and both were lukewarm at best, as well as lacking in any flavor whatsoever. I almost never add salt to food, and it was required for these. There was no spiciness to anything at all; the salsa being the most obvious. The salsa tasted mostly like canned tomatoes. I honestly think mild Tostitos salsa has more heat. I asked for hot sauce and got, instead of a bottle, a tiny plastic cup with about a half inch of sauce in the bottom. The only plus side was portion size.On top of all that, I went to the washroom, the lights were off and I couldn’t find a light switch anywhere. The worst part was paying $18 for such disappointing fare.I was hoping for a decent Mexican restaurant near home, but we will not return.
Went here awhile back. Wanted to try this place out as I was in the mood for mexican food. Having been to Arizona and ate quite a bit of Mexican food down there, this place don’t even compare. Food tasted alright. Service was average. Atmosphere was good.
