The good and bad food reviews are true. The side ribs had amazing flavour, not what you expect in a buffet. The chicken balls had lots of chicken. Much of it was standard fried and sauced meat or starches, not bad but not great either. While the squid had a burnt oil flavour and shrimp yum yum was a fail. Our server was excellent. My only service dislike was the 15% auto tip the restaurant added. I decide my tip, if it is auto you should be honest and raise you prices. That is bad on the restaurant in my books. As for my server she was excellent and would have got at least 15% anyway.
My wife and i Just left the Beijing Buffet and were very very disapointed to find out there was a function going on in there banquet room that shares the same buffet as the restaurant.Some 70 to a hundred people all lined up to fill there plates. meaning we would have had to go into the Banquet / function area and try to fit in with the party.The small amount we did get to eat was of poor quality and they still charged us full price.I do not recommend this restaurant to any one unless you call ahead to make sure there is no big party going on.
My husband and I were refused service at the door. Granted, it was a half hour until closing, but there were zero guests inside. We explained that we only wanted to eat quickly at the buffet and would be finished before closing time. The buffet area still had plenty of food visible from the front door.The hostess still persisted we couldn’t come in, then went back to texting on her cell phone at the front desk.
American Chinese food at it’s finest, for about $18 per person! The decor, staff, and cleanliness isn’t an issue in this restaurant which is good, but the food is unfortunately unauthentic. About 70% of the buffet options are deep fried first and then sauced. I just wish there were more fresh options here! Food tasted good however, but it wasn’t very hot– literally the dishes were tepid or room temperature. Only real negative was the ‘dessert’ options, the selection was awful.
Solid lunch buffet for 20 w a drink. choices were limited, but it was hot, tasty there was enough there to satisfy my craving. good red sauce and spareribs. no desert though. wtf man
Really good Chinese Buffet. Been going here for years. The food is pretty darn good. I don’t know what some of these other reviewers are talking about. It’s better than what you can get at other Chinese buffet restaurants or the food court. I’m Chinese Canadian and this place is really enjoyable for me. Service is good and really friendly -especially for an Asian restaurant. We’ve been going a lot more now that we have an infant and just need a comfortable, good and fast place to eat.5..;.;;5…5….
Absolutely appaling. I went to the New Years dinner tonight with a friend and his kids. They claimed that they had a special buffet for New Year’s but we did not find anything special about the food it was the same as it usually is. However, a lot of the food was overcooked for example the ginger beef and sweet and sour pork were extremely tough and hard to chew. The chicken balls were undercooked and very soggy. We got our bill and paid it. The person we paid then came back to our table and put the bill back with some change and proceeded to tell us we did not tip her enough. She spent a few minutes telling us she needed more because she has to pay a percentage of the bill to the restaurant. I was appaled. I will never return to this buffet.
