Came here for supper on a weekday. We’ve ordered Kare-kare and lechon kawali. The taste of their kare kare was ok, the meat was tender and veggies were not overcooked. The lechon kawali was ok, not dry or overcooked. The bill was almost $60 along with a large rice. a little bit on the pricy side, but if you are craving for filipino dish, it is worth a try.

I am not familiar with Filipino food, but was intrigued that Edmonton has an authentic Filipino chain restaurant. Since I am unfamiliar with the food, my friends ordered the usual. I can only describe it as Chinese food, but not. By 7pm on a weeknight the restaurant was packed with large families. Service was friendly. The food wasnt to my liking, but I was definitely the odd man out.
Holly Jones Outstanding and authentic. Crazy tasty spring rolls and three delicious entrees. Very friendly server and great service. Clean premises and washrooms. If you are interested in Asian food that isn’t greasy and that tastes different dish to dish then get on over to this friendly Philipino food place!
The food was alright. A little expensive for what you get. I’m giving this a poor rating because I got food poisoning (as did 2 of my friends) and spent the next day in the bathroom and the walk-in clinic. I ate at Max’s 4 days ago and I’m still not fully recovered.
Food is decent. Service is absolute garbage. We were seated fairly quickly, but waited for 11 minutes before a server even attended to us. Food tastes okay; nothing too special, but the portions are small, even for a chain restaurant, which does not justify a lot of their prices. Server never visited us or checked on us even once after our food had arrived. We could have easily walked out; part of me wishes we did. Go here only if you are tolerable to incompetence and negligence. I made an account strictly because I have never had such terrible service in my life. This restaurant has so much room for improvement.
