Came here for dinner around 4:00 pm and ordered their chicken, pork, shrimp and spring roll vermicelli bowl. Overall the food was not bad, decent value for the price and portion I received. However, I was a bit disappoint with the lack of chicken (compared to the portion of the other meats) and the pork was over cooked. However, the service was quick and friendly and I would come back to try their pho.For more reviews: saieii.wix.com/yegsaieii
Best Vietnamese food in the city, hands down. There is not one bad item on the menu. Their vermicelli bowls are to die for! I could eat the spring and summer rolls all day.
Grill Combo – Spring Roll, Wonton Soup, Shrimp, Chicken, Beef, Bacon Wrapped Scallops On Rice With Drinks. Delicious. Cooked to perfection. The wonton soup was very tasty. Onion cake taste great and freshly cooked. Grill Combo was the best. Excellent customer service. The ambience reminds of an old passion restaurant which I preferred. Nice and quiet. Will definitely go back.
Favorite Vietnamese in Edmonton. This is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Edmonton. Great portions, good value and incredible flavours. I always order Vermicelli bowls and my spouse orders Pho. He said it was one of the best Pho he has had in Edmonton. What I enjoyed most about my noodle bowl was that the meat was grilled and very flavourful! This spring we spent 2 weeks in Vietnam and this is the Thanh Tam is the best we have found since our trip.
The food is not stellar. I had the central beef soup – the broth was watery and the beef was tough and dry. My friends dishes – black bean sauce shrimp over rice, thinly sliced beef in pho, and 3 color bun were ok. This place is quite pricy -$6 for 2 salad rolls. The shrimp over rice was$14 and the cafe suda was $5.25. The price was not worth the food IMO considering that there is better vietnamese food out there for a lower price. They have a vegetarian menu, which might be interesting to some however.
Best beef satay soup. Fantastic beef satay soup iN Edmonton! Chicken satay is also good .Add more satay (on every table ! ) if you like it spicy !
My 2nd home. I love pho… i eat it atleast once a week.. sometimes 2 to 3 times… i have been to a lot of pho places and this is the best tasting I have had. Service is also usually pretty good they usually know my order. The broth is really good and so is their meatballs which arent rubbery like alot of other places. However I usually get the rare steak with meatball and they stinge out alot on the meatballs. They aren’t even a full meatball they give you two quaters of one and if you want extra its almost $3 more which is retarded but I will keep going back because the pho is just awesome!
