All I can say is this place is a hidden gem. We stopped here on a whim for a quick bite and drink. It wasnt busy, but the inside was huge! The staff was quick friendly and attentive! Huge beer selection if you love beer and a build your own Caesar selection which I absolutely loved!! Their Caeser was not in a tiny glass like every other joint I have been too and not watered down. It was very yummy! We had their brisket poutine (honestly with how dead it was in there I was expecting cold food) but it came out hot and it actually tasted pretty fresh which was nice. I will definitely be back and be recommending this place to others!
I was not expecting the great selection of local beer & ones from big breweries from states here when I walked in after a long day at work. My waiter was very friendly gave me some recommendations on the menu & beer to try I ordered the creole prawn & garlic bread, which I did not get a pic was too hungry, & the smoked duck club. The prawns were delicious little heat to them seasoned well the smoked duck club was also flavourful but little of the dry side but still tasted great. I would definitely try this place again.
Went down on a sunny afternoon to check out the massive Patio. Its huge! And rumor is the rooftop Patio will opening soon. Lots of sunshine and the ambiant music was super relaxing. You can choose to enjoy the couches or sit at the tables. We decided the sunny table while we tried out the potato skins and some wings. Good food!108 beers on tap makes it a hard decision but the daily specials were 5 bucks so we tried some Blind Monk. Even though you are right next to Stony Plain Road, the walls keep the sound out and let the sun in!Ambiance: 7/10Staff and Service: 7/10Food and Drink: 7/10ONE CHANGE: I would add a couple heaters to the Patio to keep the Patio Party going into the night
prices are too high for the quality of food service was horrible table behind us actually got up and left a beer sat on their table for 30 minutes waitress asked up if the people were coming back … huh? self admitting she was having a bad day but 20 mins before she asked if we would like another beer??? as for the food menu is very limited I chose the Caesar salad at $13.95 that is quite high but itclaimed to come with crispy pancetta and a poached egg… well the pancetta was raw and the egg was ice cold like it had just been brought out of an ice bag… I asked the waitress if this is how it was suppose to be served she said she didn’t know but would ask… I never did get my answer…partner had the burger nothing specialover priced…I have seen a few restaurants/ bars in this locationI suspect I will see a for lease sign quite soon…
Great food, great atmosphere! The beer menu is a bit clunky to get used to at first, but the selection makes up for it. There Crab cheese dip is amazing!
There was only cold food available when we went, so we didn’t eat. It’s a huge place but there were only 4 people in the place, my friend and myself along with the two staff. They boast having 108 beers on tap, but at least half of the ones I asked for were out and unavailable. The digital beer menu is also clunky and not user friendly at all.
The Alibi Pub has potential. The menu was a bit disorganized and had a few spelling errors. It was challenging to figure out the beer options and we ended up downloading an app on our own phones. We had the nachos, which were overcooked and seemed like they had been sitting awhile before they were served to us. Overall, the Alibi has a few kinks to iron out but, the potential for success is there!
