Amazing perogies and cabbage roll. Coming from a Ukrainian family, they do a great job for a fast food place in edmonton. Would recommend the ricotta dill perogies and cabbage roll with creamy dill sauce.
I finally had the chance to go here last week after different times of trying to catch their operating hours.I had six pan-fried loaded potato perogies ($7.45+1.95), sausage ($3.75), and strawberry nalesniki. The perogies are not bad at all but I wished that it had more flavour… It had bacon bits in it but it didn’t really give any added flavour to the perogy. The sausage tasted really good though. So savoury and so delicious. It might be a little salty for some but I thought it was perfect. My favourite was the dessert – the nalesniki. It’s two crepes with strawberry and custard inside. They give you whipped cream to add on top as well. It tastes so delicious and so worth the $5.95! I would honestly go back here JUST for the nalesnikis. They have two other flavours as well. The girl who was at the till brought my order out to my table. I wouldn’t say that it’s a sit down restaurant (more of a fast food) so I appreciated the gesture! Overall I think that it’s a little overpriced for what you get. Not to mention they charge more to pan fry the perogies. That is $2 more! Paying almost $10 for 6 perogies I don’t know if I could say it’s worth it.
Absolutely delicious! We went here last night for the first time. We had the ricotta dill perogies, cabbage roll with dill sauce, and cauliflower soup. Everything was amazing, especially the soup. Fast and friendly service and a very clean and welcoming environment. We will definitely be going back!
First impression, this place is super, super clean, everywhere, including the bathroom. You can see into the kitchen and not a speck anywhere. The server at the till was lovely and friendly. We ordered the six perogy with cabbage roll meal which came with a fountain drink. I had the loaded and the ricotta dill for perogies and the cabbage roll with tomato sauce. My friend ordered the ricotta dill and the potato cheddar with dill sauce on the cabbage roll. I tried the dill sauce on my friend’s cabbage roll and instantly regretted the tomato sauce, not because it wasn’t good, it was excellent but I love dill! Next time! After the meal we sat and talked as we usually do since we only meet once a month to catch up. They were closing at 2:30 pm that day and when the female owner came to clear our dishes, we said we were leaving right away. She told us not to worry, we could sleep there if we wanted to (joke) and so we relaxed for a little while longer. The son, also an owner, locked the door a short time later but told the remaining customers to relax, he was locking the door but they were still cleaning up so we had more time. Before we left, we bought some of the pre-made, frozen perogies to take home. I will return and return, writing this review has made me hungry for more!
36 minutes of waiting for 9 boiled perogies (menu said fried perogies take longer). The lady who ordered before me just left waiting for hers bc she had to pick her son up (she had already paid for her order)Notifying ppl when theyre ordering that its over a 30 min wait for a meal should have been mentioned as I did not have half an hour to stay and wait today (and obviously neither did the other lady). It appears to be a fast food restaurant so warning people before they order would be the better thing to do.
Decided to try after a long day… The hours on this site are not the hours they are open call first so very disappointed call first before going
I drive by this place everyday on my commute to work and decided to try it out. The place looks very modern for a place that just serves up homemade perogies. They offer perogies of course with 4 flavours/fillings to choose from. And you have a choice to make it a combo. They have classic sausage, cabbage rolls and dessert perogies as well. I got the $11 combo with 6 perogies, cabbage rolls and a drink. I can see already though if you wanted 3 more perogies +$2.50, sausage +$3.50, extra bacon, onions and sour cream +$0.50each, you can easily rack up more then $17 for a lunch. Not exactly the cheapest if you’re expecting a quick bite. There was a mix up with my order and I got someone elses food when I got it to go (sorry!)… So sadly I won’t know what the cabbage rolls with dill sauce tastes like yet… But what I got was a sausage and 9 perogies w/ fully loaded potato filling. You can choose your perogies to be boiled or pan fried. And topped with bacon, onions and sour cream of course. For me I prefer pan fried (+$1.25). It was tasty, good amount of filling, but I couldn’t get past the mushiness from them being boiled, pan fried all the way. Sausage was nice and overall very filling. Tasty little joint and I’ll be back.
