Good Eats When Your Hungover on the Weekend. I go here a lot on Saturday mornings after a heavy night out. Food is actually good I don’t get what people expect from Denny’s. It greasy goodness served fast just like any other Denny’s/
Gone several times with my son. Staff are always friendly and fast!!!! Love it:) Unlike Cora’s where I couldn’t even get service!!!
Yuck! No Surprise Here. The place just doesn’t change….and that’s not a good thing. I see they have slipped even further, to a record 4th worst in town. No surprise as the service, the food is awful. The manager really needs people skills training. AVOID this place. If you really want the Denny’s menu, go to Calgary.24 Jun, 2012Greatly Disappointed (AGAIN). First off, Denny’s should be extremely embarrassed. Does anyone from Denny’s read these?..hope so. Let me start by saying that I like Denny’s restaurants because their menu is refreshingly different, and they serve ample food that is also tasty. But, after last night’s trip to Denny’s in Okotoks, the lovin has stopped.About a month ago, my wife and I went in for dinner and I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak, only to be told they were out and didn’t have that. Sooo, I ordered something else…..not that big a deal.Well, last night we went to Denny’s again because we both had a cravingall day for a Chicken Fried Steak. But, when we ordered, my wife ordered a baked potato with it. The server came back and advised that they don’t serve baked potato so she ordered whipped potato. My wife also ordered steamed vegetables but the server came back and advised that they only had hot beans and hot brocolli, so she ordered the beans. Then the server came back yet again, thoroughly apologetic and advised that they didn’t have Chicken Fried Steak either, AGAIN. Let’s be very clear; THEIR BUSINESS IS TO SELL FOOD.That is their only business….sell food. DENNY’S DO YOU GET THAT?How does a restaurant not have the most basic of foods….that is what you do! Anyway, we were very civil and had a quiet conversation with the manager, who was filling in for the ‘normal’ manager and he said he had received many complaints that day, much to his dismay. He was clearly embarassed and said he would give us another meal at a discount, but we declined and left for The George pub up the street.I am told there are over 60 restaurants now, in Okotoks, and this is the best way to put yourself out of business….don’t sell the items that the customers want. If this place doesn’t shape up real soon, (and I can see why it is one of the LOWEST ranked establishments in Okotoks, it will close it’s doors real quick. Any business relies on repeat business, but we are two more customers they have lost un-necessarily. I was a fan of Denny’s, but no longer.
Manager needs people skills course. You wait so long for your meal, that when you finally get it you are starving. You continue to eat it, even though your eggs are under cooked to your liking.Then when asked how your meal is, you show them how under cooked your eggs are the manager figures its worth only a $2.00 discount because you have eaten half.Not even to acknowledge the fact you had to wait forever for your under cooked eggs inthe first place!
Edited 2nd time, Spend your money elsewhere. It was decent in the summer of 2012, good service, decent dennys food, loaded burgers as always…..until the winter of 2012. Ughhhh, new management cared more about his car sending staff to the car wash to get his car cleaned. Waitress’s gossiped and never attended any of the customers in the restaurant. A old guy never recieved his water for like 25min since sitting down, he must have patience…The food, GROSS, again, microwave bagged corn, chicken breast with some sauce squirted on it. My GF had the cranberry pecan salad, no romaine lettuce, no spinach, just diced lettuce 5 cranberrys..a couple of pecans for good measure.Ya Just DONT GO HERE, go to a gas station, buy some munchies, lick the bottom of your car carpet just DONT GO HERE.placed on my DO NOT GO HERE list
Sad food and service. Very sad service..the food is horrible there is nothing good about this restorante. The Tilapia Ranchero was sad looking fish with very very old pico de gallo. I mean old like 5 to 10 days old. the avocado was moldy and tasty terrible, I really want it to say something to the server but she probably had no idea how pico de gallo shoud look fresh.my bread was burn and my kids veggies looked brown no fresh at all. I don’t think anyone from that restorant care a about what they put on the table for customers The food is dull and tasteless. But what so you expect fron dennys.
Absolute worst service I’ve ever had. Power went out, ok not their fault, waitress says she can’t get our coffee we ordered before power failed, WITH A POT OF COFFEE IN HER HAND! Then 45 minutes latest our untouched coffee still had no creamers or sugar I asked for twice. hour later still mo food so we left and told the male manager who offered not even an apology. After getting in vehicle across street I noticed him with pen and paper looking all over his lot. Idiot, police won’t do squat over undrank coffees. Will be calling head office it where ever I have to to spread this. Shame cause month before the female manager and missing staff were the best we ever had and is why we drove way out there for a meal.
