Beef Jaipuri. Wonderful flavour and just a bit of heat without being too much. Peppers and onions in the sauce made it almost like a beef stew served as a sizzling plate to your table. Here it is the next day and i am still thinking about this flavorful dish. Not sure about being served on tin foil but not a big deal.23 Aug, 2015Pleasantly memorable. Judging from a very full restaurant, many have found enjoyment in good food beyond the ordinary pub grub.Friends wanted to go here again as they really enjoyed it last time. We were here last, in the spring. Tried a few different dishes this time, to experiment, and were pleasantly surprised. Most noteworthy, if u like spicy without be over the top hot, is the beef Jaipuri in a warm sauce with cooked green peppers and onions. Ample portions too, as we all took home a doggy bag portion.21 Apr, 2015Fantastic!!!. I decided to take my wife out for supper , for her Birthday. I invited a couple friends (surprise) and had great meal and good times. We ordered a variety of dishes and they were ALL delicious. We took our cues from our server fo his recommendations of sauces etc and were not disappointed. They even brought her a special dessert to celebrate, without asking. We WILL be going back again and again. Highly recommend.
Came with some girlfriends for dinner. Started with vegetable pakoras – very nicely done. For our main meal we had butter chicken, palak panner and a coconut based lamb dish accompanied by garlic and butter naan. The service was good and the meal very nice. Lots of leftovers too. This is a great find in Okotoks.
Don’t be in a hurry ( brutally slow service…..waited for an hour to be seated and we had a reservation)…don’t be hungry (small portions)…and be prepared to pay a lot $$$$$ expensive. Other than that the food is pretty good (once you finally get it)….
Fantastic food!. My family had ordered their food for take-out when we were staying with them in Okotoks. The food was incredibly flavourful, esspecially the butter chicken! It was the best East Indian food I have had from a restaurant and wouldn’t definitely recommend it to friends and other family!
Absolutely AMAZING! I’ve been wanting to go for a long time and only have had Indian food a handful of times in my life…I had the Shahi Paneer with garlic naan and vegtable samosas, my mom had the tandoori beef and coconut pulao, we shared everything and fought over the left overs. Awesome server & red wine too!
Save your money!. To start, sever was friendly and attentive but sometimes we had to listen closely to understand him. But this was the only good thing about our experience.Portion sizes were almost on par to my favorite Indian place is Calgary (Taj Mahal) but the amount of actual MEAT in the dish was next to none. The butter chicken had maybe 5 pieces and the rest was sauce. Which didn’t have much flavor.. Tasted more cream than spice.Whatever you do.. Don’t order the meat platter appetizer. Everything is deep fried and really doesn’t have any flavor. The beef samosa were the only thing ediable. I was really happy when I saw my favorite veggie dish.. The cheese curry (can’t remember the name) but was very underwhelmed. The curry again lacked spice and flavor. And the saffron rice we were served was dry and was mixed with regular white rice which again.. Made it flavorless. The roti was hard, the naan was the only good starch.I get you want to save money on food costs but give your customer a better bang for their buck! Also.. If I’m coming for a flavorful spicy curry, give it to me! Won’t be coming back. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere.
First time in an Indian restaurant and first time trying this genre of cuisine. I had a wonderful time, very attentive service, large portions. Naan bread was absolutely the best and would come back just to snack on that and a drink. Tried 4 different appetizers and 4 different dishes and everything was beautifully cooked and served. 5 star experience and I wish them well in Okotoks.
