Spectacular service, even better food. The server was super knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a few things wed never tried. Id highly recommend Spices.
Good food but rather inconsistent in taste at times. I had complained about an order and was told we are replacing it as a favour. Im not sure why a favour is needed to replace a high priced menu item, when the chef had completely forgotten what the entree even looked like, the last seven times that I had ordered. Suggestion to the young owner lady : please dont loose a customer for an unintentional mistake by commenting rudely.
This is delicious food. Expensive. But delicious. We had a anniversary gift certificate and went at about 8pm on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was quite empty, but a couple families came in to eat during the course of our meal. We enjoyed the vegetarian platter as an appy which consisted of samosas, veggie pakora, paneer pakora, onion bhaji ($13.95). It was solid and came with 2 dipping sauces. I ordered the Punjabi garlic masala with lamb and it was absolutely scrumptious. ($15.95) My partner had the butter chicken. ($15.50)He thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it quite different from my usual samplings of butter chicken. It had a sweet taste which I wasn’t sure of on the first hit of the tongue, but as it infiltrated and mellowed in my mouth, I found it quite tasty. We also had soaking in butter naan bread which was probably the best naan I’ve ever had thus far. The only thing I found a little bit gouging is that they make you pay extra for rice, on an already pricey smallish dish. They do have a selection of rice and naan bread to choose from. All in all, a lovely feast.
