Definitely would not recommend this restaurant. We went to pick up food and were treated with the UTMOST disrespect when they screwed up the order. We politely asked for this to be corrected, only to find a screaming manager come storming out of the kitchen. They were extremely rude, blamed us for reading the menu wrong, screamed and swore at us in Chinese in the restaurant, then grabbed our food out of our hands. The manager was completely inappropriate and required another co-worker to physically restrain him and push him to the back of the restaurant. Horrible customer service.Don’t waste your time. Expensive food. Poor service. Food quality mediocre at best.
Not Celiac friendly. Just because the menu says ask to leave off soy sauce and your dish will be gluten free, doesn’t make it so! Just because the menu has a G beside some items doesn’t mean it will be safe for a Celiac! I mentioned to my server that I had Celiac Disease, he didn’t know what that was. Asked for manager and he seemed confused by the word Celiac at first then understood. Was quite convincing that the dishes could be made safe and the kitchen knew what they were doing. Nope I am sick! I was glutened last night. Yay me get to be sick for a few days now. Do not eat here if you have Celiac’s Disease!!!
Pretty mediocre. Even for westernized Chinese food. Don’t got expecting anything more than that.
Only been for lunch…. I’ve only been here for lunch so its all I can review. The menu is limited to mostly western style chinese which is OK with me. The food is very good but where they are lacking is in service. If you order an appetizer to go with your lunch, make sure to let them know you want it with your meal or they will wait until you are done before putting in your order. If you don’t do this you can expect to take an hour or longer for lunch. The person next to us waited to pay and got tired of waiting for his doggy bag and left.Too many choices in this neighborhood to warrant coming back here anytime soon.
I’ve been ordering from here for over 30 years the new staff they have are a joke Don’t understand English over the phone And messed up the order and they won’t send the right food back and then told me it’s my fault and call tommorow he didn’t want to handle my order my whole family has been ordering and going to the blue willow but never again
Average food, small portions, big price. My boyfriend and I live nearby, so we’ve ordered from Blue Willow a few times. Their food is good when you’re got a craving for Chinese, but the portions are pretty small and it ends up being a pretty expensive meal. We usually get the ginger beef, beef with mixed vegetable, blue willow chow mein, and one order of steamed rice and it’s about $45.00, and we usually have enough leftovers for one of us to have lunch.End of the day, it’s expensive, average quality Chinese food in small portions.
