I used to go here more than I do now especially for their wing night Tuesdays. I’ve also ordered a few of their other appetizers to go along with the wings.I do remember when their wings were like $0.40? Now they’re $0.45 and you always have to get drinks for wing night.Usually when I go here for wing nights, my friends and I order cajun, hot, sriracha, and salt and pepper. We’ve also tried their Oilberta BBQ (?) in the past but it’s not really our favourite.Overall I would say that their wings are decent and I like that it’s not too dry, neither are they too small. They’re average. I appreciate that the wings are well flavoured because I’ve had wings in the past that were lacking in flavour. On my most recent visit, I tried the loaded potato skins. I think it’s not bad, it is definitely loaded with arugula on top lol and has a decent amount of meat and cheese. From what I remember it was about $11? and comes with 4 potato skins. I don’t think I’d order it again because it wasn’t anything spectacular. We regularly order their yam fries and the sauce that comes with it is also good although I’d prefer it to be a little more on the spicy side.I’m not a fan of beer in general but I tried their raspberry ale once (it’s on special on Tuesdays as well) and it’s just not for me. I’ve had it a couple more times after that but definitely not something I regularly order. They have a lot of beer selections (as they are a brewery) so if you’re into that I’d suggest trying some of them out.One thing that I dislike about Brewsters is the service – every Tuesday that I go there the service is pretty slow. I find it hard to get the attention of some servers and food also comes out pretty slowly. I understand that Tuesdays are busy days for them and I don’t really go there on other days so I can’t say if this is a daily problem.Decent place in Downtown to chill with friends and it’s a pub so it’s a loud environment. I like sitting on their patio in the summer.

Service: Friendly, attentive and prompt.Appearance: Acceptable, but nothing special.Food:WOR WONTON SOUP // Spicy broth, pork & vegetable wontons, chicken, tiger prawns, oriental vegetables. – This is my go to item when I eat at Brewsters for lunch and I find each Brewsters is different. I found the soup’s vegetables were not that fresh and they were even dull looking and there was not as big of a serving as previous times I have had this soup. I must admit that the peas were very sweet tasting and they helped the flavour profile of the soup a great deal. The spicy broth is not really spicy, you make it spicy by adding Sriracha sauce they give you to add yourself. Last time I had this soup at this location the chicken was all clumped together in the bottom of the bowl, this time it was separated into pieces. Overall the soup was acceptable, but lacked taste and freshness.Go again: Not for a long time…14.99 for a bowl of soup that lacks flavour is just not worth my time and money.

We went for wings on a Tuesday, $4.50 for 10 bone-in. The wings were pretty good, some big and some small, about 8 flavors to choose from. Soft drinks aren’t refillable without purchase of something other than wings on wing nights, so to get around that just order small fries for the same price as one soda and drink away. They also won’t pack up wings to go on those nights, and it would have been nice if the waitress would have told us beforehand. If not for that, I’d definitely go back.

Came here for lunch during the week. Arriving right at noon I was able to seat myself no issues (lots of tables/booths available). The server came up right away and took my drink order (iced tea – tasted really watered down). I ordered their fish and chips with gravy. Food took about 20min to come out. The fish was so-so, didn’t wow me but wasn’t inedible. The filet didn’t seem to be fresh based on how it flaked and tasted but the tartar sauce was very good and helped with the overall flavor. The fries were standard and the gravy (while a bit too thin in consistency) was very flavorful and complimented them perfectly. I didn’t bother with the coleslaw. Overall the portion and taste of the meal was decent and by coincidence I came on the day fish and chips were in special ($3 off) so I was pleased with the value as well.

Went here on a cheap Tuesday wing night with a few friends. We all pretty much ordered wings and drinks. It was a pretty full and packed place and we were seated on the second floor. A pretty good place to just hang out with some friend, enjoy some wings and good beer. Service was excellent and the wings tasted pretty good.

This is a brewery that is in my ‘hood so I have frequented the premises many a time. This is a micro brewery, so if you are a beer drinker, then I highly recommend that you visit. There are kegs and bottles available for purchase to take home. There is a very small restaurant section to your left when you walk in the doors. I would suggest reservations if you would like to be seated in the restaurant. Children are allowed on the restaurant side but not in the pub.The Oliver location has two levels. I prefer the view from the top level but it isn’t open unless the pub is busy. There are a couple of cozy fireplaces for the winter months and a great patio for the summer. We usually brave the pub side of things when we go. Tuesday night’s special is wings for 35 cents each and pints of the River City Raspberry. They have a different special going for every day of the week. The beer is fantastic, the wings are wings. Try the Teriyaki Hot wings, they are one of the tastier flavours available. The noise level can be quite loud during hockey games. If you are a hockey fan, this would be a great place for you to go and watch. There are lots of large screens everywhere. On the restaurant side, we have had a couple of really great meals. The Blackened Steak Salad is one of my favourites. The menu is a mixture of appetizers, burgers, salads, pizzas and mains. There is a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. They have brunch available on the weekend from 11 to 2. All in all the food is good. I have been going here for a few years now and as with other pubs, service is inconsistent. We have had really great experiences and we have also had a few that were lacking. More good than bad. The food and the beer are good enough to keep us coming back for more. yegfoodie.com
