Drinks at the cactus club. Service is fab. Quick and friendly and attentive all night. It is happy hour so $4.00 glasses of wine. Very affordable/ high value break with friends. Club is a clean and A bit on the loud side. Note* Bathrooms have black and white movies playing in the stales ?
Was here yesterday at 6 and got a table for two right away, service was good and food was good, got a Bellini and another daiquiri ( Bellini was good but daiquiri was too sweet ) but cant remember the name, got the calamari and truffle fries for an appetizer to share, and main meal I got the fish taco with butternut squash soup, everything was delicious. I will be back during the week but not on weekends due to previous experience my friends and I had to leave because it was too packed and they had no tables left .
You likely are going to this place to hang out with friends drink beer and socialize. The food is average, but the servers are above average if you know what I mean;) seriously, though this place is not bad for a Friday night.
atmopshere is great. The blacken creole chicken is one of the chicken dishes I’ve tasted. really enjoyed the whole experience. It can get a bit pricey but the food is defiantly worth it.
Great service and atmosphere. The music was a bit too loud, we had to scream to hear each other though. Their chicken sandwich was mediocre, their mini burgers were pretty good but the lettuce wraps were the best!!! I dont even usually like peanut flavor but these were amazing.
Went during Happy Hour on a Friday with my boyfriend and 2 friends and had excellent service on the patio. The Happy Hour specials are some of the best in the city – $3 chicken and beef sliders and truffle fries and $4 bellinis and froses (a frozen rose slushy drink). We’ll definitely be back!
It’s always fun going here with a group of people (3+). My most recent visit was for my friend’s birthday which we had reservation for. There was no problem there. I had spoken with the manager (I’m guessing) and told her that we were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday so they gave her a muff dive and 3 shots on the house. That was very generous of them! What I got was the jambalaya rice bowl and fros. The jambalaya rice bowl is probably the best bang for your buck at Cactus. Everything on the menu is quite pricey. The jambalaya was ~$18 and was very filling! It had a lot of toppings (meat & veggies) and the flavour was pretty good too. The fros tasted good – it’s a slush cocktail which tasted predominantly of wine. It comes with a mint leaf which makes the drink taste better if you crush it into the drink. I’ve had sips of my friends’ drinks as well. Nothing But Pink tastes really sweet, the flirtini is quite strong, and the bellini was really peachy.Service wasn’t bad. Because we were a big group it kinda made sense that they wanted to give us a little more time to go over the menu. The food came out of the kitchen pretty quick so there’s no complaints about that. The only downside is really the pricing. It’s probably better to go for happy hour because most of their drinks are half priced and the menu looks like it’s good value. I would be back for that.
