Our favorite place. Never been disappointed. Excellent service, great atmosphere and quality food. We enjoy leisurely sitting in the sun at noon and evening times, surrounded by nature. See you again soon.

If you like salty food then this is the place for you! The Greek salad was too salty! The potatoes were too salty! The vegetables were too salty! We should have turned around at the door when we found the restaurant was empty! We had the filet mignon steak and asked for medium and received well done. Not a great experience and not recommended. But…the waiter was very pleasant.

Wonderful experience. It was a special night out on Saturday and our meal and the atmosphere at Cafe du France made it unforgettable. We highly recommend both the swordfish and veal marsala.

From the moment we arrived, the service was less than par. With the lack of people in the restaurant, you would think that it wouldn’t take forever for a waiter to approach us and offer us a drink. The prices were very expensive for the quality of food. They attempt to cater to high end fine dining but fall quite short and honestly, I would have enjoyed myself more just eating a McDonalds hamburger. From the suggestion of the waiter, he suggested we get the Chateaubriand, which was $79, and honestly the chef didn’t know the difference between rare and medium well. This restaurant should be featured on Kitchen Nightmares as Chef Ramsay would be utterly disgusted at this place. When they cooked our Chateaubriand, the chef cooked it by our table, flamb style, than left it to cook and simmer/boil in the frying pan while he left to serve other guests before coming back to us after the Chateaubriand has already been sitting and stewing for quite some time. While our Chateaubriand was cooking, they cooked it above a fire alarm sprinkler which they constantly kept checking as they were afraid to set it off. Secretly, I was hoping the sprinklers would go off as I had a sinking feeling the food was going to be horrible. To top things off, the waiter was absolutely clumsy and dropped utensils and cutlery on myself when clearing the plates. We didn’t even order dessert as we just wanted to get out of this place as quickly as possible. In the end, the bill came to a whooping $132 for just some of the worst food and service I’ve ever received.

Mediocre, overpriced and disappointed. A group of us came here on a snowy Saturday. The other two restaurants we visited were fully booked. So we decided to check out Cafe du France. We arrived at 6:45 and were the only customers. 10 minutes after being seated another two groups arrived and were seated. We ordered the Spicy Sausage appetizer that was $11 and came with 6 baguette chips. the sausage was NOT spicy and it tasted like generic Italian sausage you can purchase at any grocery store. The sliced sausages were covered with a tomato meat sauce. Something like a spaghetti sauce. Not impressed for $11 appy dish. Also ordered $10 french onion soup. It was cheesy but tasted mediocre. Nothing special to rave about. For the main we ordered the Flambe chateaubriand. Had asked for the steak to be rare. It came as medium well. We didn’t bother sending it back so just had it as-is. There was a mushroom sauce poured over the steak. Dish also included veggies and garlic toast. The plate didn’t look appealing in presentation. For the other main we had the pasta Provenal. Was mediocre. Overpriced for $22. It was something I could get for cheap at BP’s. To top it off, this dish made me literally run to the bathroom with stomach pangs as the rest of the group was squaring up the bill. We left feeling the best tasting thing was the free water that came with ice cubes and wedges of lemon.
