One of my favourite spots in Edmonton! Love the retro decor, the delicious cocktails and all the pickly things! The food is unique and tasty and its always a challenge to decide – wish we could just order everything on the menu!!!!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, cocktails were great, however the service and food was mediocre at best. We ordered five plates off the menu the two we would not recommend were the sourdough tartine with marinated mushrooms and the BC nori cracker ( I can’t recall exactly what it was called) both lacked flavour and creativity. Our server seemed inexperienced and didn’t give details about the dishes. All in all the experience was ok.
This is a beautiful French inspired little pub. Its fairly small and quite cozy. Clementine is absolutely wonderful for an evening of delicious, creative and fancy cocktails- I would definitely recommend sitting at the bar. Watching the bartenders work is magical! The food is small plates and quite particular. So if fancy plates isnt your cup of tea, Clementine may not be a good choice for a proper multi-course meal. But still worth a visit for some tapas and brilliant drinks.
Looking at the reviews I was thinking Clementine would be a fantastic choice. I ordered thepeking duck with an hour wait. The presentation was beautiful, but the duck was overcooked. I did let the waitress know regarding the isuue and she confirmed it would only be seven minutes to cook everything once again?I decided after 15 minutes of waiting to let them know I am not interested in waiting for my dish as the others around me were finished eating. The waitress suggested for me to box up a duck meal to go. I was shocked as this is supposed to be a high end restaurant?I understand that the restaurant industry can never be perfect, but for how much they charged everyone at the table was completely disappointed!I think the manager on staff should take more time with customers to ensure a better experience or try to correct things the right way. Never again I will go there.
Came here for drinks and some eats. I had a wonderful experience. We ordered 3 plates and a sweet and the waiter was amazing enough and able to recommend a wine with each dish because I love pairings! The service was polite and friendly our waiter was Mark loved him! The spacing of the time between plates was perfect the food tasted fantastic! Although I dont understand why each dish had to have the little sliced onions. The wine list is fantastic and the place looks amazing. I will definitely be back to try the oysters!
Really enjoyed my evening! Great ambiance and interesting drinks. The downside would be that it gets really loud and we could not hear ourselves talk. As well, the ventilation is not so great. I recommend trying the absinthe. They have a nice selection. We also tried other drinks such as the suzette or the verte. The appis and deserts were creative. We tried them all and really enjoyed them.
Great spot located in Oliver. I live in the building and it is great to have this downstairs. Some of the best cocktails in Edmonton paired with some very tasty snacks. Tip: Arrive early as they get busy especially on the weekends.
