I loved dining at Gabana. Its a cozy restaurant at Jasper ave. Service was great & the food was delicous. Loved the lemongrass chicken & red thai curry chicken. Reasonably priced too. Quantity is small though. Will come back again!
I think my expectations were too high because I thought Gabbana restaurant was a healthy and reasonably price restaurant. Truthfully I was really disappointed with the quality of the food and amount of food I got for the $5.00 lunch menu. I ordered the Thai Chicken meal and they only gave me one scoop of rice and a tiny portion of chicken. I actually feel sick after eating that chicken because it was grey and shriveled. Even if they offered me a free meal to apologize for the low quality food I wouldn’t accept because no paying customer deserves to be served such a meal.
Quiet and Delicious. We’ve eaten here about 20 times and never had a bad meal. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, even retro. Staff are relaxed and friendly. We’re almost always served by one of two pleasant and pretty sisters. I particularly like the wiener schnitzel and mushroom soup. The onion cakes are very tasty and very large. My dining mates usually order seafood dishes which they praise. Lots of asian dishes on the menu as well. Thursdays (I think) wine is $10 off per bottle. I highly recommend Gabbana.
Amazing!. This restaurant is a true gem! We were visiting Alberta from the states and had dinner here our last night in Edmenton and I have been craving curry ever since. You will not be disappointed. Not only are the dishes amazing to the palate, the presentation is beautiful and service is outstanding. Go. Now. 🙂
Good Service. Better Food. I’ve been to Gabbana many times in the past years, each time enjoying my dining experience. Walking in, greeted by kind, warmhearted people; sat down a timeless vinyl booth; given a simplistic, straight forward menu. I ordered the Thai Seafood Bowl, and while waiting for the food, enjoyed the friendly catering by the waiter. The food arrived promptly, and tasted quite rich and flavorful, IMO worth the higher price relative to the rest of the menu. All in all, I don’t get what more could ask from a restaurant. Other restaurants with the big names often don’t have the same heart as warm, inviting, friendly, down to earth vibe this place always gives. This place doesn’t get enough recognition, Definitely give this place a try, if you haven’t already.
The food had a horrible burnt taste. I tried to tell the server about it but he never even came to check on the food. I talked to the server about the burnt taste and flavour and all he said that was too bad. I had to pay the full price for it and they couldn’t care less. Horrible food and horrible service. I would never go there.
We went here for a Halloween Celebration with my friends. We ended up here because that Saturday it seems that most of the places were busy. We were looking for a place where we can have our wine and dessert. The staff and the owner (I think) were very accomodating and nice. We asked for what wine she would recommend and she was very helpful. All of us girls were looking for this kind of place. Not too shabby, quiet, relaxed atmosphere.
