Takoyaki, Green Tea Float, and Squid KarageWednesday isnt just for wings. Takoyaki special at Ikki Izakaya if you want something different. Although wings are good any day of the week. Takoyaki is grilled octopus dumplings with takoyaki sauce and mayo. Its delicious here and its topped off with shavings of dried fish. Suh gud. You need to order a drink to get the special and this Green Tea Float was the thig. Havent had a float like this before and its refreshingly good. Squid karage was one of the specials and it was satisfying when dipped into the spicy mayo. Only wished there were a little bit more squid on that dish.Ikki is located on Jasper and 119, and is a cozy restaurant. Service is kinda slow on Takoyaki nights and it becomes busy later in the evening. Need to check out thursday special with yakitoris.
