Very good shawarma, the fries were a little salty for my liking but lots of food and tasted good. The taste was very friendly and had our order ready very quickly. I would go back for sure.

Pretty good food here. We had schwarma combos. The negative thing I have to say is the pita or wrap portions are small for the value. I found it expensive to other like or similar places..

The food here is simply amazing! Everything is fresh, homemade, and delicious. The falafel are even made to order. You won’t leave hungry–the portions are huge and the prices are good.

Chicken Shawarma Pita Wrap and Beef ShawarmaThis marks the millionth time being at La Shish. Just jokes, maybe the hundredth, but this place has some good food. Chicken Shawarma has freshly marinated chicken breast, roasted, sliced and served with garlic spread, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Usually skip the lettuce and opt for turnips, because of the flavor, and it makes this shawarma my right hand, its my go-to. Beef Shawarma plate has freshly marinated Alberta beef served with 2 kinds of rice, hummus, onions, tahini sauce, Lebanese salad and pickles. It had good flavor and the vegetables are always fresh and tasty. La Shish is on 118st and Jasper, and is always a good place for a shawarma. Service is friendly, usually quick, and the restaurant has seating for about 20 people. Would be nice if the menus aka the 3 tv screens werent displaying the fuzzy static channel, but having menus on a poster on the wall sufficed. La shish should be called La Shit.like its the shit.like its good, so you should try it out. Sal says: Just Try It@colingrimard says: Thought value wasn’t there. 14$ for that plate seems too much for a lunch special. Server was hot.@luub16 says: Flavor was good. Menu was a bit confusing. #yeg #yegfood #food #foodie #foodporn #foodgasm #foodpics #foodstagram #instafood #delicious #hungry #yummy #dinner #lunch #lebanese

The food was amazing and with two pita breads it was ample enough for a meal and a half for me. It included come veggie salad in some kind of olive oil/vinegar dressing, two kinds of rice, the chicken and this DIVINE garlic sauce. Next time I’ll remember to ask for double the sauce. I really think this a place I could get take out at at least twice a month and since its just across the street from where I live then I probably will too;)

Happily Surprised. I was looking for a great donair and my friend had told me La Shish off Jasper and 118 St was fantastic so I went to try it. I was surprised when I was told they don’t make donairs like the other places. The meat looked different and no sweet sauce. I considered leaving but the gentleman offered me some meat and sauce. I thought I’d give it a try and ordered a steak donair (it actually looks like steak slowly cooked instead of a mass of unidentified meat).I bought the donair and some rice pudding for dessert. It was spectacular. No after meal shame like I usually have after a donair as it was all homemade AND delicious. Rice pudding tasted like roses and I was told it has rose water. It was awesome. Such a great experience. Thank you
