Marco’s famous has very delicious food that me and my interracial family likes to eat from. Although their homophobic and racist attitude forced me to only eat through another racist and homophobic app called uber eats. As a low income earner just trying to enjoy a meal with my family they did not deliver my food for the third time in a row and still charged me. I have also experienced several of racist and prejudice with uber eats service. Thank goodness I discovered several other ways to have food delivered to me
My first donair experience about 4 years ago was with Marcos donair. It was amazing and they loaded the bag with extra fries.. That was in person. The previous 3 times I’ve ordered online and had it delivered. Now they have a small little bag for fries and the donairs aren’t that great. Maybe it’s just the online ordering portion or they’re just cutting down costs but after ordering it the past 3 times and getting disappointed by them I won’t be ordering again.
Me and my son consider ourselves burger aficionados.In Winnipeg they are famous for great burgers with chilli.This place rivals any burger that I have had.A true burger not frozen crap cooked on a flat top with a nice crust, the chilli has a good balance of heat.If you want to leave full and happy come here and proudly boycott the Burger B whoever they are for the garbage they serve!
It Was an Ok Donair shop. I think the rating is a little generous though. It definitely had some of the better texture in a donair that I have had in a while. But the taste was a bit bland. I find that flavor is usually where an otherwise good Donair place goes astray, but Marco’s goes astray more so than other donair shops do.To be clear the taste was good. It was great. but it was weak. I just want a donair with a little oomph, you know?but preparation mostly makes up for it. its not just rotisserie donair meat, once they cut it off they throw it on the grill for a few seconds just to raise the heat and put some crispy edges on it, and toppings are all fresh and quality. All in all a good donair shop, but the taste needs a little backbone.
I’ve always driven or walked past Marcos Famous but never bothered to try it as the outside didn’t look eye-catching. I found out that they are a donair & burger place so I wanted to try out how good their donairs are.We got the super cheese donair combo and regular cheese donair.The donairs are presented so nicely, I’ve never had a donair look that good before. They’re full of meat and veggies with the right amount of sauce and slices of cheese. It’s really good. I would probably say it’s my 3rd favourite in the city (so far). The fries were fresh and were so crispy. I really liked the fries. Their milkshakes are advertised a lot in there, maybe it’s one of their specialties haha!The location is perfect for students. Right across the upcoming MacEwan Arts & SAMU building, and just a block from Wendy’s & Tim Hortons. They also give 13% discount to MacEwan students so it’s a pretty good deal! I’d definitely go back!
Great Food, Especially the quality of Donairs and Burgers. Friendly staff always smiling. Milkshakes are a must try. One of my fav place in downtown Edmonton 🙂
Their staff were super friendly! Great food! Their donair is a MUST-TRY! I’m crazy about their strawberry milkshake as well. Their service is fast and efficient. I love that they have free wifi! It’s a place to be for students like me because one time when our internet connection was down, this place saved me from failing my online quizzes!
