I dined here on a busy Friday night and was enormously impressed with my experience. Normand embodies hospitality. He greeted us, checked on us when we had to wait a few minutes, checked on our meals, and then chatted with us as we were leaving, even taking the time to show us how the fancy orange juice machine worked after my boyfriend inquired about it. The waiter was profession and well informed. The food was delicious. They were very accommodating when I mentioned my gluten allergy, even bringing out gluten free bread and butter for me to enjoy. It was a real treat and everything tasted wonderful :). I highly recommend this restaurant and I cannot wait to return!

First I would like to say that I have never written a food review online no matter how good or bad the experience. So, I obviously feel pretty strongly about my meal at Normand’s. The only thing that was good was the company and the service. We had the crocodile, boar, bison and kangaroo. They were all undercooked and tasted bad. We could not even finish our expensive meal. We mostly ate the bread and the potatoes. Perhaps the normal menu is good, but I would never recommend the seasonal game menu. My most expensive and worst meal in Edmonton.

A lovely friend invited myself and my husband out to dinner at Normand’s, and I am glad he did! I can’t believe I had never been before. The menu has a lot of wonderful selections on it. Escargot, Frogs Legs and Wild Boar Ribs are available as appetizers. Alaskan King Crab, Veal and Lamb are available for entree`s.We were lucky enough to be able to sample the wild game menu that some of the other Yelpers were mentioning. I got the Bison and Ostrich platter. The meat was cooked perfectly, just the way I like it. Tender and juicy. My husband had the Wild Boar Ribs (entree) and was raving about how good it was.The owner came around to our table to check on us personally a few times. What a nice touch! Normands is fine dining in a wonderfully inviting, laid back atmosphere. It would be a great place to celebrate an anniversary or a birthday. yegfoodie.com

Chicken liver pate – the pate is bland, but the sauce livens it up, it is served with slices of the same bread they bring to the table… I would prefer an assortment of crackers or thinly toasted crusty bread and more olives and pickles, the pate needs more umphOnion soup – the bread and cheese topping are perfect, but the broth needs more flavourFish broth vegetable soup- tasty and full of vegetablesCatch of the day- haddock and salmon with rice and vegetables , the vegetables were great and the rice nicely cooked. The fish was just a tad over cooked and not enough sauce and I question the compatibility of serving the two fish togetherGame of the day- bison and boar with boar bacon , nice and smoky and grilled perfectly , great potatoes and vegetablesSticky date pudding – PERFECTChocolate Pie- not as good, funny texture

Was here for breakfast and the service is just as great as glenora, as ive seen some of the staff here. The breakfast is just as great or even better. Good service and food makes a great restaurant. Price doesn’t matter.

This is on the Saturday breakfast circuit for sure. The menu may seem a little short but everything is on there. Excellent coffee, great ambiance, and exquisite service are hallmarks of this place. Free parking out back is just a bonus.

First time here with 3 others. Service was great, waiter was very knowledgable about the menu. Also helped inform us of how the owner is able to accommodate us with special orders if we let them know ahead of time (like ostrich meat). Food was great, had the wild game meat plate and it was very tasty and well cooked. All in all, it was good. Will be back to try the Ostrich meat
