I really enjoyed this fantastic little restaurant. The food was marvelous, service was fast and friendly, and the selection was perfect. I had the Army Pot, it was unusual but really enjoyable. We tried the pumpkin pancake to start and the house dessert… Wow, spectacular. How is this place not busier? I can’t say enough good about it. If you’re on the fence about trying it… Go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

This restaurant is one of the best in down town.Nice and soft interior with moden looking. The owner is so nice and staff were great. I recommend to everyone to come and try this place. Especially the fried chicken is Awsome and Japchae ,Don-gasu and Seafood pa jeon is must to try. I am coming back definitely.
Went with a couple of friends for lunch; ambience is quite casual. Decor is extremely cute. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered Beef Bulgolgi, Chicken Galbi, Seafood Doenjang Jjigae and Ddeok-bokki. Except for the latter, They all came with a bowl of rice. Ddeok-bokki were spicy with alot of cabbage and a nice chewy texture. Portions were quite large. There was a good assortment of seafood in the Jjigae, Making it feel like you were getting the full value at a reasonable price. Overall a good experience. Would return and recommend to friends.
Located on Jasper Avenue beside the old Joey, this Restaurant has been here for quite some time now.Walked by here once but they were closed in between lunch and dinner so finally had a chance to try the food last night. Parking is available at the back of the building or street parking is free after 6pm, typical downtown.Once you enter, the interior is so different from your typical korean restaurant around southside. I love how the inside is so modern but at the same time you can still see/feel traditional. I would say the best of both worlds hahaMe and my boyfriend were greeted right away by a gentleman, take note they don’t wear your typical black server attire here. They are dressed up professionally. The seats are so comfy. love the bench seating with some throw pillows.Being a first timer here, the server gave us a little background with the restaurant how they use natural ingredients to all of their food, no MSG. Also asked us if we are familiar with Korean food which we aren’t really. So we ordered our drinks first, me and my boyfriend got a flavoured soju to share. Oh my, Koreans know how to drink! I love the flavour! I feel like I can drink a whole bottle to myself. It is strong but doesn’t really taste like an alcohol but for sure will make you drunk? haha.So we asked our server for some help, we are planning to share the food and try out different stuff. Server suggested their Royal Deok Pokki ($9.50) It is my first time trying this and I loved the sauce they use, Ganjang? We also ordered Chicken Galbi comes with rice ($17), my new favourite for korean food! I loved how the chicken so tender, and the sauce so flavourful, you can really tell that they don’t use MSG because of the aroma. We had Soon Doobo Jjigae, the bowl is not too big but enough for 2 to share, the tofu just melts in your mouth, i love the kick of spiciness to it and fresh ingredients. Boyfriend ordered Bulgogi comes with rice ($16). He finished everything lol I was able to try little bit of it and YES, You can never go wrong with Bulgogi but their bulgogi is really tasty, I like the sweetness into it.We finished everything and we were so full! We got offered to try a korean dessert but no room for it. They have Pot bingsoo? I asked the server what it was and he said its korean shaved ice. Gonna try this next time I come back. The server said that they’ll have some new menu and a must try! Can’t wait for thatOverall, I am glad that I get to try this korean restaurant especially in Downtown, its close to my work so I’ll try their lunch sometime. My NEW FAVOURITE RESTAURANT :)The service was really competitive, the whole time we were dining, the server was present and attentive also helpful with the menu. The food is AMAZING! Never knew Korean food is enjoyable.I recommend this place to people who aren’t so familiar with Korean food!Must try: Chicken Galbi and Soon Doojboo Jigae.I’ll be back to try more, the Pumpkin soup caught my attention.
A cute, modern place that is almost cafe-like. The food tasted good (we had the japchae, pork belly, bibimbaap and ddeokbokki), although the prices were a bit high for the serving sizes. It’s a nice option to go to if it’s closer to get to in terms of travel (as it seems like alot of Korean restaurants are in the south side), but it may not be the place to get the most economical value for your food. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I’ve eaten at the restaurant once and have also ordered food from them once through Ubereats. For me, this place is middling for one main reason: the prices are quite high given the amount of food that is being served. Granted, the food itself was good and very authentic for the most part, particularly the bib bim baap, japchae, and bulgogi dishes. It is also one of the few options available to anyone who lives north of the river, as most of the Korean restaurants in the city are in the south side. However, the prices are just too high for me to recommend this place to everyone. If they either dropped their prices or increased the portion sizes for what one would pay, I would upgrade my rating of the place.
