I arrived at 20 min to close. I was greeted by two friendly employees. Very promptly had my order prepared exactly how I requested. When showing interest in a vegetable topping I had never tried, I was quickly offered a test taste. This establishment was spotless. Very clean, fresh looking food, and tastes amazing! Definitely will be returning in the future. My only suggestion to Cedars Deli would be to go with a more authentic garlic sauce. Ive had much better in many other places. Thicker, more garlic please.
This is my go to place for shawarma in Calgary. I have yet to have a negative experience here, and I have tried almost everything on their menu. The meat, toppings and condiments are always fresh (prepared always on the same day, every day) and very good quality. I asked the owner where they got their meat from, and he let me know it’s organic and is ordered specially from a butcher. If you want to try something different, go for the cornerstone wrap or plate; this consists of chicken and falafel mixed together, with your choice of veggies and sauce. Their garlic sauce is the BEST, I always get extra (it’s worth having garlic breath for the next 3 hours). They also offer a variety of deli style salads (I really love the lentil mixed with tzatziki) and appetizers, such as samosas and vine leaves. They also offer a variety of gluten free choices. I myself come from a middle eastern background, and can vouch this is as good as it gets.
