We came here tonight for dinner and were not disappointed! Right from the start we had excellent service, our waitress was very friendly and quick. We ordered veggie samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken and lamb biryani. All of the food was delicious but for me, the samosas and butter chicken really stood out. I loved the atmosphere of this place, it felt airy and open, but still perfect for an intimate dinner out. The portions were a little smaller than what we thought they would be. The butter chicken was $14.99 and the portion was in a small bowl (see photo) I would come here again if I were in the city, the food is delicious and the service was excellent!
Ordered take out from this place tonight. I only had the butter chicken but was pretty disappointed, the sauce was to runny, bland, and tomato-y for my liking, not the usual thick creamy, flavourful sauce. The naan was also very chewy and doughy.
Came here for dinner as a last minute decision, and absolutely loved it! I’ve only visited a handful of East Indian restaurants to date, and this establishment is the best one so far. The food was delicious and staff very friendly. Our server was mindful and personable, making us feel very welcomed. I highly recommend their coconut curry!
Tamarind is my go to restaurant for Indian food. I literally drive across the city just to get food there. The Bubly’s creamy chicken is to die for. Anytime I go, it’s the creamy chicken, butter chicken, vegetable biryani, garlic naan, veggie samosas and whatever other curry dish I’m in the mood for. I’ve never had a bad meal here.
Super friendly, great food and good ambiance. Haven’t ever tried a bad dish. Service can occasionally be a little on the slow side, so not great if you’re in a rush.
The butter chicken sauce is quite good, however, the chicken pieces don’t taste like real chicken; they’re that weird textured cube chicken. Most vegtable dishes I’ve tried here are par. Nothing too amazing but overall decent food.
