Pretty good food but the waitressing was horrible. Only 3 tables were full while we were there, and still the waitress took FOREVER to arrive. The portions were large and reasonable for the price, I only wish my meat was a little warmer next time. Would I come again? Probably
Stopped in to grab spanakopita. Store front is all blue and white. Spanakopita arrived quickly with crisp pastry and a spinach filling that is flavorful. Staff are friendly and were quick to prepare our order.
My husband and I visited this restaurant this evening for our anniversary. Our favorite type of food is Greek so we have tried most of the restaurants in Edmonton. We were extremely disappointed in this restaurant. The saganake was excellent-crispy on the outside and melted in the inside. Our meal ended there. We had chicken and lamb souvlaki. The lamb was ordered medium rare but when it came only the outside pieces were cooked properly while the remaining pieces were extremely rare. All the food on our dish was very boring. The meat, rice, potatoes had little or no flavoring. The beans were nothing special. I would rather have had less food if I had had more flavor to what I got. We found we used the tzatziki sauce for some flavor. Very disappointing meal and evening. Even the candle was never lit and had never been.
The food was amazing. I loved their hospitality. Dont miss belly dance in the weekends. I will definitely recommend. The staffs were friendly. Thumps up to the new management and owner.
Decent place for greek food. Great location, service was amazing, andmy last experience was something to remember because people got up and started dancing to the music. It was nice to see people enjoying the ambiance and experience of the place. On the other hand, the food was okay and the menu selection was decent. The meat dishes were too dry for my liking and also very bland. The upside was that our server was very personable and did an amazing job with providing suggestions for us to try. My last couple of experiences were good here but I don’t feel compelled to come back here again because the food just wasn’t that great.
Came here with my boyfriend and his family for a birthday party supper and was extremely pleased. Fantastic service, fantastic atmosphere BUT above EVERYTHING the quality of the food prepared and the authentic homemade quality blew is all away. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone looking for a good Mediterranean meal.
I didn’t know that koutouki and it’s all Greek to me merged. I was craving for some dessert but my sister in law really wanted to try the grilled octopus. That octopus was the best octopus I’ve ever eaten. The texture was comparable to medium rare grass fed beef. The octopus was simply flavored with garlic, lemon, olive oil and maybe some oregano. As for dessert we ordered bougatsa which is semolina thickened custard baked in filo pastry topped with icing sugar and cinnamon. It was like an apple pie without the apples. The service was great to the very end when our server brought us rice pudding on the house. I hope this place does well at the taste of Edmonton. Oh yeah mythos beer is great!
