Love it! UPDATE: new chairs- fantastic. My favourites are the arincini and the 500 fries. Everything is made to order which is amazing when you have allergies or dietary concerns. Live music lends itself to create a beautiful atmosphere.

The best Italian that you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for. All the juices for the cocktails are made in house no wonder they are so great.Uncompromising freshness I didn’t know till I got here food items are ordered then prepared daily. No wonder their the best. Thanks 500 Cucina

This place is really special. The pizza is absolutely to die for. The crust is nice and thin with a little bit of crisp. Perfection! Owner and staff really care about your experience. They are genuine and welcoming. I encourage everyone to stop by and try it out, it will soon be a favourite spot of yours!

The list of ingredients for the items are not exhaustive onthe menu so be sure to declare any food sensitivities or allergies when prompted so you don’t end up with something undesired on the plate, like I did. To prove their point, they went to the kitchen to query and brought back the menu and told me it was impossible to list all the ingredients so it was basically my fault. They did offer coffee or tiramisu as an apology but coffee in the evening doesn’t really work for me! I would not recommend the penne alla pana as the chicken was quite dry and did not taste fresh. The cheese pizza and the meatballs were quite good. Service became quite slow after the complaint despite the number of open tables. Don’t think I’ll be returning.

This was the worst experience that I have ever had at any restaurant in Calgary. I honestly have received better service at MacDonalds. It was a disaster from the beginning, our reservation being disregarded and ignored by the waitstaff, finally being seated in a corner table much too small for our party although there was a larger table unoccupied right next to us.Once our food was ordered it took over 25 mins for the first pizza to arrive. The food did not arrive together despite being ordered together, what was brought out got cold while we waited for the rest. The waiter did not even come back to the table ONCE while we were eating to ask if we were enjoying our meal. At the end of this experience I asked to speak to the manager. The manager felt that an appropriate solution would be to offer the remaining persons left out of our party a shot of Sambuca, which seemed rather unprofessional for him to suggest this as a resolution. The waiter had the nerve to come back and confront myself and the remaining person from our party as to why we were speaking with the manager. Don’t make the same mistake we did and waste your time and money, and take your business elsewhere – the staff here act as if they are too good to serve you, the food is mediocre and overpriced for the quality and quantity

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent warm, early summer evening on a west facing and shaded patio savouring neapolitan style pizza, caprese salad and Peroni on tap. The pizzas, a cowboy and house special, were good value at $18 each and as good as anywhere in Calgary. The salad displayed great tomatoes as to taste and appearance with a large serving of cheese in the middle of the plate . The very experienced server was excellent and he could be characterized as providing european bistro service: efficient, prompt, attentive and unobtrusive. It was understandably busy on a Tuesday evening with a following that will now be increased by two.
