What a fun little place! Cold Garden has an amazing selection for amazing prices, then puts you in an atmosphere of thrift store furniture, gnome paintings and a giant pineapple to make you feel right at home. Try the Dandelion Blonde or the Red Smashed In Buffalo Jump. hipkineatsthings.com
Oh Cold Garden, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1) All your pints are $5. 2) You serve your ($6) flights on a ski. 3) All your staff are super cool. 4) You allow dogs. 5) You have a pineapple disco ball and astroturf. 6) You have board games. 7) You have a lager that tastes like birthday cake (It’s called Cakeface, try it). But in all seriousness, Cold Garden is pretty incredible. Go for the amazing beer (I dare you to find a brewery with more interesting flavour combinations), stay for the kitschy, eccentric vibe.
Everything was really awesome…. except for the rude bartender. Really nice beers and cute decor. All the dogs! Really nice concept of having a ‘beer garden’ inside. Hope the next time I come back I’m treated like a customer not a burden or perhaps I just won’t come again.
Great atmosphere, great beer for awesome prices (pint is $5), and dog-friendly! A little hard to find, but the entrance is in the blue door next to the garage door with their logo on it.
Awesome beer! Apparently they had just opened the tasting room. The beers are very interesting, sour patch stout, vanilla cappuccino and cake face to name a few. The tasting room is just in the brewery which is decorated with pool noodles and has couches and board games available as well as long tables. The beers and fairly priced and they offer flights to sample. For 12$ you can take everything on tap! Definitely worth checking this place out!
