Had the Tonkotsu Ramen, which was flavourful, however was quite a small portion for the price. Service was good. Some of the other menu items seems interesting and would probably try something different if I were to return.

A good place for some quick food at the farmers market, and there is definitely a lot to choose from. We ordered the ramen and the sisig. The ramen wasn’t the best I’ve had, but far from the worst. The sisig was flavourful, but portions were small for the price. We also ordered the spam musubi which we really liked. Curious to try other items on their menu, they have some really interesting things. Great presentation of the food and service, not the greatest Japanese food around but if you’re at the market, doesn’t hurt to give it a try.

I have been waiting along time to try this place at the calgary farmers market after seeing pics on IG and Facebook. Finally got to try it for lunch today and I was extremely disappointed 🙁 I order the Dan Dan noodles- it came with hand pulled noodles, pulled pork, sesame sichuan sauce , shredded cabbage, cilantro and peanuts. It was small in portion for almost $12. The pork and veggies had a nice taste to it but the worst part was the hand pulled noodles… they were super thick- 2 inches in width, it was overcooked and clumping together and hard to eat. I didn’t even end up eating it.. just some of the meat and cabbage and threw out the rest. Do not recommed the Dan Dan noodles. I have had Dan Dan noodles elsewhere before and definitely not like this

Tried the Dan dan and was very yummy. Quite small for the price though. Would go back to try the ramen, happy to have ramen down south. Cool to see them hand pulling the noodles.

Eats of Asia had a stand at Market Collective so I thought I would try it out. I ordered the Korean pork rice bowl and to be honest, all I remember is rice and lots of vegetables. It was okay but definitely on the pricey side for what you got.

I tried their ramen. The noodles had great consistency. Was very impressed. Broth had nice flavor. The mushrooms, toppings, and eggs were all good.Cons:- the portion was very small. The equivalent of a pack of instant noodles.- $12 before tip, might as well eat at shiki for a larger portion.- Handling the toppings after they handled my cash payment was a bit off putting.- the pork slices they gave me were hard and cold! like as if it was pre-cooked, and they didnt warm it again properly when they served me it. I threw it onto my napkins.

For years I’ve been meaning to come here. Maybe it’s the location of local small food stalls and the farmers market, but the food is pretty epic for Calgary. It reminds me of the Asian food trucks you try in Oregon or somewhere on the west coast, where authenticity and creativity meld together. The prices are dirt cheap too! We split the japtots which are an answer to our own Canadian Poutine. Crispy tasty saucy and yes…spam chunks. The red curry with cod (fried) on top of some veg and rice was great too. At $12 it’s a steal. I can’t wait to try the ramen next time! Keep up the good work!
