Fixture at the market, we always stop by for samples. I like the lobster mac and cheese. Awesome service. The other day the kid got a cup of broccoli soup for free. Some of the best Calgary has to offer.
Whenever I come to the calgary farmers market I have to stop at this place! I love their savory and fruit pies. If you get 12 savoury pies you get a discount. My favourite is the taco pie and my husband like the Jamaican curry beef. The blueberry and cherry pies are delicious as well. You can sample the different pies before you buy. I love bringing these pies to work for lunch.
Tried their pumpkin pie today. Absolute heaven! I’ve only ever tried their dessert pies and I would highly recommend them for any occasion. They have larger pies for dinner parties or whatever, or smaller pies to fulfill your sweet tooth cravings. 🙂
Tried a few of their pies and curries. This place has really gone downhill. The fillings are cheap and tasteless and there appears to be many fillers now. I would not recommend.
We purchased a Saskatoon Pie from Simple Simon Pies at the Crossroads Market in Calgary, AB the filling is like cheep jam, very few berries. I will not be buying another pie from Simple Simon.
Simple Simon Pies’ Tortiere. I so looked forward to a true tortiere but sorry to say but yours tortiere is a far cry from the tradional French seasonal treat. I would classify yours more as mush in a crust, something similar to M&M’s. I am contemplating whether or not to keep the second one or simply throw it out with the garbage this week..
The best pies for the best price. I always get a pie from simple simons when I’m at the Calgary Farmer’s Market. They are amazing! Don’t believe me, try a sample. On top of that each of the single serving pies are under $3.00!
