Coffee. That is all. I love coffee. The coffee here is excellent. I especially like the drink menu that changes. The creations the baristas come up with have never disappointed.
What a nice ambience of a downtown city cafe in a town like Red Deer. Good coffee is a must and between here and Dose a couple blocks away, City Roast has good coffee. Inventive sandwiches are cool and so is the big coffee contraption which says- WE ROAST HERE!
Good food. First time here for me, wife has been here lots. I had a turkey panini and the wife a roast. We also had 2 diet cokes for $21. Only thing I’ll say is the sandwiches were very sparse of meat, two thinly sliced pieces each. Double that up and you will see us more. Also had desert, a brownie and a European treat, both to die for. Thanks
Won’t go back. Too many coffee shops offer good coffee, good snacks and pleasant service to bother going back here. Coffee was old, baked goods were dry and the staff were unfriendly. Lots of competition out there – if you want customers who are outside your captured audience (workers in the immediate area) you need to improve at least a little!
Love this place!. I love City Roast, the coffee, food and staff are all wonderful, highly recommend it! Their breakfast and lunch options are delicious and at great value.
Overpriced for what you get. Would not recommend City Roast. The first time I came, I only had a tea, which was nice. Staff was friendly. Today however, I had a veggie sandwich. For $8.00, I got a tiny sandwich with 2 slices of tomato, a piece of cheese, and a sprinkle of grated carrots. Very shocked – could have something twice the size for half the price nearby
CITY ROAST COFFEE HOME OF A GREAT CUP OF COFFEE. There are few moments enjoyed in life like the ones dedicated to spending time with a beloved elder. A lovely day of sun bonnets, putting our toes in the sun and talking tea and gardening had been planned . Not happening snowwwwwwww. A friend told me about City Roast, so I stopped in. I got coffees to go and treats . My dear old friend marveled at theold fashioned raisin spice cake and the Mrs. Oh Henry cake was this side of heaven. Delicate European coconut cookies that brought back many memories of another time and place . We also tried the Ross Street cookie. We decided it was named that because it’s so big and yummy,it never made it much past Ross street, before getting devoured. Thanks City Roast for saving the day!
