I have been to Cora’s all over Canada. We almost rented a Cora’s for our wedding dinner we have enjoyed it so much in the past. I took a friend from Michigan to the local Cora’s today and he was happy with his burger and the portion size as the burger came with the breakfast potatoes and a soup. The red onion came as the only downfall- a 2cm slice of onion, not ringed or anything- straight onion, was on the burger. I had the chicken club which was fine. The food came out fairly quickly (under 10-12 min) and I was happy with the amount of food. I do notice a slight difference in Cora’s since we enjoyed her in Ontario five years ago, but it is fairly consistent. My rating is based on value, food quality and service. Value- 2.5-3; food quality 3.5; service 4-4.5. (Portion size was decent but 3 people for 55 bucks for lunch was a surprise…)
The quality of this establishment has waned recently. It is lighter fare than your typical breakfast diner, but portions seem to be shrinking and the fruit had been lacklustre
I love Cora’s! Glad we have one in Red Deer finally. The menu has some great stuff, and some very healthy choices. The Red Deer location has friendly staff. They could use a bigger parking lot though.
Mediocre. Went for lunch, got there at 12:11 and they were already out of the quiche of the day. Ordered the clubhouse, dissapointed to see processed cheese on it. Soup was flavourless and salty, salad had brown slimy lettuce. Will not be going back, but the server was very helpful and friendly.
Great food. We decided to try out Coras for breakfast because it was all day, we had a short wait at the door because it was so full but that’s usually indicative that it’s good food so we decided to wait and try it out. Well we were quite pleased, the meals came and were delicious. All really food, and cooked to perfection. The service was awesome as well. PS the hollandaise sauce is made from scratch and my husband who normally hates hollandaise sauce absolutely loved it.
Amazing. Not only are the staff extremely friendly and provide good service but the food was amazing. The portions were generous and the price was reasonable. Love this place. I would recomend this restaurant to anyone and everyone
Never Again. Been to the Red Deer location a few times – never more than just OK. The last time – November 23rd – Sunday around 9 was our last time. After waiting in line over 30 minutes, we were finally seated. They had kept everyone at the door while waiting to seat a group of 10. There were cleaned and empty tables all over but did not seat smaller groups till the 10 were seated. We actually had a great waitress who apologized. Also had the opportunity to speak to the owner. Told him his bussing and seating didn’t work and he replied they made us wait in line rather than overwhelm the kitchen. Seems to me I would rather wait sitting at a table sipping on a coffee than standing in line. I will not go back – too many restaurants in RD to put up with this.
