It just kills me after this many years of being Georges Pizza and Steak House biggest cheerleader to deleting my 5 star previous reviews to this. In all my years on the planet have I ever heard staff treated in such a manner. I sat in my booth with friends and listened to staff being treated like omg (no words) fowl words screamed at the kitchen staff non stop 45 minutes straight. I’m no prude but this would shake a sailor let alone veteran staff and kids with a first job. We packed food up and got out.I will tell you this is about my third time witnessing things but nothing like tonight. When I think of the absolute giants of Red Deer who’s staff love and are treated like gold .Maybe there could be help with wonderful mentors look them up and learn. I will not return until this issue is fixed.
The food at George’s is incredible and tastes very home made, however the service is horrifying and that is the only reason why I don’t come here anymore. Disappointing because they make some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Servers are not educated on the menu, I am gluten free and some of them knew about the gluten free options (which they had gluten free noodles) but at other times the server had no idea they even had gluten free pasta and was arguing with me about it, even though I’ve had it many times before. We’ve walked out before because of the way the servers would treat us. Very upsetting because the gluten free pasta was amazing, the service isn’t worth it.
The dry ribs here are totally to die for. The lasagna is good but they use to much nutmeg for my taste. The facility is very outdated, it’s stuck in the 70’s but the food and service makes up for it.
Poor service, poor food quality, poor food presentation. You walk in the door and immediately question how sanitary everything is, and the place needs to be renovated. Bad.
Slow to non existing service. Walked out once it was obvious we weren’t going to get looked after.
Good pizza with good toppings. A bit expensive compared to chain pizza places, and delivery was slow and ended up with cold pizza around the crust, and warm in the center. Next time if we do order, probably will pick up instead.
Been there once, the service was horrible. I waited forever for my food and when I got it I was not impressed. It tasted like it came straight out of the microwave, some burger king would’ve been a better choice.
