This is truly a tale of two tummies one loves Latin spice the other is cautious. Service and ambience were spot on. Food was authentic Latin with very generous portions. My problem is with spice guide lines 1-10 , I chose1 to be safe. I reallyjust could not handle that amount of spice. My friend loves the heat and ordered5. By the time we were done it looked as if we just got out of the sauna. I haveseen my friend eat raw peppers with no problem and He was struggling. I lovedthe restaurant and would recommend to real heat seekers. I’m not sure I wouldgo back just becauseof the spice factor for myself.
In town for a few days and sick of hotel bar food. Needed somthing different and I’m a big fan of Latin food. The restaurant was empty but very clean and neat decor. Very friendly owner served me. I had the burito with rice and beans. Told him I wanted level 2 heat. Then got cocky and ordered more hot sauce. Bring on the sweats. Food tasted very fresh and homemade. Impressed.
Seen this place last time I was in Red Deer so made a point to stop in & try it out this trip. This is a nice clean restaurant with Latin ambiance with music playing in the background but not too loud that you cannot have a conversation. I ended up getting the king beef enchilada with a heat level of 5 my server warned me 5 was very spicy but I got it anyways. The food came out fairly quickly & the portions where very large for a $15 plate & came with rice, re-fried beans, sour cream & guac. My server was right level 5 heat was very spicy almost above my tolerance but the sour cream & guac helped mild down the heat enough to be enjoyable. The enchilada was very tasty lots of flavor & once i added the guac & sour cream made it just that better but my favorite thing on my plate was the re-fried beans they where great definitely would come back next time in Red Deer.
very authentic food great service good atmospherei had a small issue with the heat factor but the owner was gracious to change my order to less torch heat .waitress was great .was a little confused with a Japanese waitress but she assured me it was run by a lady from El Salvador .best mex food in red deer
Great Food. My husband took me out for me 72nd birthday. I wanted Latin food so looked on line. The food was wonderful. I had enchiladas and my husband had the crispy taco. The servings were plentiful and the service was great. We will definitely visit there again.
Yumm. Great little hidden gem in Red Deer. If your sick of eating out at the same chain come try this place out! Fresh ingredients and flavors. If any constructive criticism would be they could update their menu on the wall. The crossed out items doesn’t create a clean high end feel.
Authentic. Was here today and it was 3x better than Los palmaris. Lots of food but they raised their price quite a bit on some items. Im not sure I will be back.
