After reading the reviews I was concerned. The food was actually really good, the best Chinese in Red Deer by far. Not having a designated dining room made for a poor experience. It was just a loud sports bar, not ment for an enjoyable dinner out with friends.
Had chicken and mushroom sauce , it was one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had. The chicken was moist and very flavorful and I just couldn’t stop till it was all gone. Will go back just for that dish again.
Hands down the worst Chinese food we have ever had!!!! Ginger beef was stringy, tough and over cooked…they tried to cover this fact up with a gallon of sticky sweet goop they called ginger sauce. We complained to the waitress and she said they would bring us beef and brocolli. What we got was a dish so hot we could barely touch it, yet the food inside was cold and mushy. Ummm, do you think they just microwaved our food? Yuck. We then tried the chicken chow main and the chicken was actually sour. I made my daughter spit it out because it tasted rancid. We complained to the waitress and she asked if we wanted to take it home. Seriously???? I wouldn’t feed that to my worst enemy.Disgusting. The waitress took $12 off our bill bringing our total to $45. ridiculous considering we got nothing but possibly food poisioning. I will never, ever go back to Monsiour Wongs…and I will tell everyone about our horrible meal.
My family and I got delivery to our house, a family of 6. It cost us 127$, we got the food and it looked like it was half portioned out. I called back and asked for management or a supervisor. They told me there was no one around to handle my complaint. So I talked to whoever they gave me the phone to, to find out it was the bartender. He said there was nothing he could do for me. I ask when a manger would be in or why there isn’t any one around on a Saturday night at 5pm (dinner rush). I got pretty upset saying I just spent 127$ for my own father to not even have a plate because there wasn’t any food left for him. The bartender said he was going to hang up on me. Which made me more upset. Finally my father went on the phone and procced to explain why we were so upset. To not get all the food we ordered. Finally a manger called back after 10 minutes. And aftter my father once again explain that 127$ should have givin us full dishes that we would like the other half of our food that we already bought. Finally he just gave up and said they would bring it to us. I will never order from there again. And I don’t recommend big family relaying on being full after you only get half your meal delived to you.
The food was awful. I ordered the smoked salmon appetizer, which was okay… Besides the fact it was served on stale grocery store bread. For my main course i had the chicken club wrap. It was drenched in honey mustard, completely drowning out any other flavors which, in hindsight may have been a good thing. My fiancee ordered the mushroom chicken with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. The entire plate tasted microwaved. The only edible part of the meal was the potatoes which were obviously from a pouch. The service was alright thanks to the bartender who cleared everything and kept our drinks topped up. Food was horribly slow and overpriced even after they comped the mushroom chicken meal… We will not be returning and would not recommend it to anyone. Awful dining experience.
Nice patio. Good cider choices but very expensive dishes that could do with more flavour and larger portion size
Buffet sucks. Stopped sunday after church to treat the family to a buffet. Dumplings were cold, chop suey was cold, prawns were coated in what seemed like pancake batter and were not good at all. stay away, try New Years instead.
