This is the best place in Red Deer for fresh Chinese food! The staff are always making sure that the buffet is full and hot, and are always walking around making sure our drinks are full and table is clean. The people running this place definitely know what they’re doing! They offer a vast selection of food – including mouth watering dim sum! We always come here for Chinese food. Definitely recommend!
**dim sum was quite good but the rest of the buffet was lacking still a great little mom n pop shop*dim sum wasn’t as stellar as other days. Sui mai was too fatty. Ham sui gok had the wrong exterior. …no ice cream in the buckets… dim sum is still super good. Even their tray buns are made in house… with shiny crisp exteriors.. just like the bakeries…a great value and service was fast and efficient….Now we know why the seniors come here…***always a bonus when you can have dim sum included in a buffet. Surprisingly I’d have say to it was really good. The rest of the buffet was ok… although we did get there at almost the end of lunch. Other plus the bathroom was clean and wasn’t like a freezer. It’s family friendly. Both bonus points. The price for kids up to 9 isn’t an arm and leg. But 10 + are considered same as adult. Probably a sliding scale would work better for kids. It’s a buck off for seniors. I’d try it again at the beginning of the lunch buffet
When there for the lunch buffet yesterday. The waitress was amazing, water always full and old plates taken away in record time. A good mix of Chinese and western food. Was surprised they didn’t have ginger beef, only gininger pork (first place I have ever seen this), and when I noticed that I looked around, almost everything was made from pork. This kinda threw me off a bit. Food tasted alright still. My girlfriend ate something and got a little sick but I was fine. Not sure if she just has a sensitive stomach. Probably won’t go back cause I normally go out with the girlfriend and she already vetoed it cause of her getting sick.
Great food every time. Huge portion sizes. At the end of the day with no meal in sight for my family this where I go or lately they come to us. Happy customer here.
Good selection! We are there every second Sunday! See you Cindy!John
MSG. I’m extreamly sensitive to msg, we went here for a company lunch and I was leary, after eating the food I was pleasantly supprised. No attack. The salad selection is limited but this is the only Chinese food place in 250km that I have eaten where I never had an msg attack after.
Okay but won’t go out of my way to eat here again. The buffet is exactly the same as the Dragon City Cafe in the south end of town. dragon City is much better. Go there instead.
