I really haven't had luck here. It's very middle of the road. I've had some decent burgers but I've had something as simple as a Caesar salad be worse…

Had lunch at The Ranch House for the first time in a while. Menu has been revamped and looks like a new awesome price point. Service is always good and food was piping hot with good size portions. Cozy ranch house ambiance is especially nice this time of year. I alwaysrecommend the stuffed potato.
Food: To sum it up in one word, SALT!Salad and soup – This comes with the entree and it is really bad. The soup was so salty I could not eat more than two spoonfuls. The salad is lettuce with croutons from a bag with a sprinkle of balsamic vinegar, I took two bites and that was enough of that and the piece of bread that came with it was stale and not warm. The presentation was not pleasant and even the dishes they use to serve the food on are unappetizing.Filet Mignon Neptune which is the filet topped with:seafood chunks, asparagus, baby shrimp, glazed with barnaise, but it was NOT a bearnaise sauce it was CHEESE and cheese and seafood do not go together. Bearnaise sauce is clarified butter, egg yolk, white wine vinegar and herbs – I DID NOT GET BEARNAISE I GOT CHEESE. The steak was also SALTY. The vegetable was string beans with oil on them, very bland. There was a piece of stale bread again, but it was toasted this time, I did not eat it and then there was this random piece of melon, simply weird. The steamed potatoes were simply that, three plain potatoes on my plate and then the side offering of butter, sour cream and what not. The steak was cooked properly, but the saltiness ruined it and the fact that the menu says bearnaise sauce and that is not what you get is simply wrong. Please update the menu!Service: The only reason I gave 1.5 instead of 1 was because the service was very good. Greeted right away in a friendly way and the waitress was prompt and polite and was given lots of attention.Appearance: A bit on the dark side, some may need a light to read the menu. The rug needs to be replaced, it is worn and not too nice looking. Go Again: NO, way overpriced for what I got.
I used to frequent this place so often they knew my order when I walked in. Had not been there for about a year and decided to go back. It was….ok the quality of product had changed A LOT. The cheese sticks weren’t as big or as tasty as they used to be, and the filet was a sad chunk of meat. For the amount of money they want I think I’ll go somewhere else from now on.
Love everything on the menu. The prices and the quantities are great. Nice local alternative to The Keg. The seafood chowder is excellent. So is the stuffed portobello mushroom.
Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad! Four bad meals is not a coincidence. Prime rib came attached to an unidentifiable piece of regurgitated fat that no self respecting chef or sever should ever have allowed out of the kitchen Add to that sad looking and tasting McCain frozen vegetables. Stuffed potatoe was tasteless and cold. My partner ordered an 8 oz strip loin but instead was served a lesser cut. The salmon was fishy and bland. For a $130 dinner…. It was pathetic. Won’t be seeing our $ again.
Pretty Average Steak. Service was fine and the menu is good. Steak was average at best…Waitress highly recommended the soup, and again, I thought it was average. The Keg does a much better steak than this house.
Disgusting, over 20 dollars a plate for food that tastes like reheated hospital food.
