Very good. Food was tasty and enjoyable. Server did a good job on recommending things. Nice sauces. We had the pulled pork platter and a brisket salad.
Good: bark on the meat was tastyNot So Good: all the sauces (boar b que and potato salad) were acidic and overpowering (my tastebuds were tired 1/4 way through my meal and I didn’t enjoy anything); bun for sandwich was dry and too small; meat (brisket) didn’t have any smoke ring or any actual smoke flavour (tasted like roast beef); brisket was sliced poorly ( one part would be thin and the other end would be an inch thick); staff didn’t have recommendations on what sauces paired with what meat. The meat was fall apart tender but tasted like slow cooker roast beef. For 1 sandwich, a side potato salad and an iced tea it was $19… The sweet tea was good. Far too expensive for what they’re serving. I won’t be back.
called to order for pick up, they conveniently didn’t have my order when i got there. Never eaten here before and it was to go, wasn’t told i had to put my own sauce on my sandwich so when i got back to work and opened the box was greeted with a dry sandwich. Not sure if i would go back. Customer service could use a complete overhaul as well
Great flavour, bit pricy, but well worth it! Awesome ax n cheese and chicken. The candied pork belly is to die for!!! Recommend this gem.
Red Boar is perfect all around for any occasion. The food is fantastic, the staff are so great, and the restaurant itself is casual and fun. My boyfriend and I shared the barnyard, which was beef brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken w/ two sides (we got the corn and russels sprouts — both absolutely TO DIE FOR). The beef brisket was my favourite, and the pulled pork was notable. I wish the ribs fell off the bone a little more but they were still tasty. The sauces are all so beautifully created! Yummmmmy. Definitely gonna keep coming back here!
Wasn’t a huge fan. Maybe caught this place on a bad day but the meat was average, not flavourful and juicy like I would have imagined. Unfortunately wouldn’t go again
We recently attended for breakfast. Concept and items on the menu sounds amazing. Then you get your meal and what would have been a great product is depressed by temperature and portion. We could count the few pieces of potatoes with our breakfast. The meal was cool. Further to this our eggs Benny was served on a bun as they ran out of English muffins. They were not overly busy as there was only three tables. So it was confusing as to why this occurred. Hopefully they are able to address some of the morning issues.
