Always a fan for some dim sum, so many different variety, so many to try out. Chinese food is amazing. They have this beef brisket and this amazing sauce, I like it, the meat is nice and tender.
I usually visit a place 3 times prior to writing a review. Only because everyone can have an off day. However Red Star has yet to prove its worthiness. Service has been terrible all three times, the tables are wore out, the place looks dirty and the food is ok. The Dim Sum is good, but not awesome, and the Chinese food tastes like it came out of a steam table that was made the day before. There are better restaurants out there at this price point.
Not good at all not good. If you can’t make good fried rice, chicken balls or deep fried wonton then your success as a Chinese restaurant will be very limited
Great Hot plate & crispy chicken. Beef black bean sauce on hot plate and crispy chicken are my favorite dishes. Remember to order the chicken first (20 minutes).6
Worst. Just placed an order for delivery 2 main dishes and 1 spring roll order total was 30.67. An hour and a half later i get my food but it is 40$. So i contacted red star and they added pork dumplings for no reason. Then the delivery drivers interac machine did not work even after trying 5 times. So I sent him back with my food then checked my account balanced and was charged the 40$. Called red star and was told their receits show nothingGave up
Szech/prawn. Spicy21 Mar, 2015Deep Fried Wonton. Good stuff21 Mar, 2015New favorite. My order was promptly delivered and fresh. Ginger beef wasn’t very spicy. Deep fried wontons were great. Chicken chop was full of bean sprouts and goodness. The spicy shrimp and mushroom is awesome. Look out for hot peppers though. Like the title says it’s my new go to place.
Never again.. The food was middle of the road Chinese fare but the service and food preparation were so slow we regretted eating there even before we had our food.
