We were seated in a booth in the back area after waiting what seemed like an eternity to be seated, even though there were plenty of vacant tables in the place. We also waited way too long for our waiter to even bring us water. When he finally arrived, we placed our orders and waited again, for what seemed like forever to get our food. We thought we’d starve to death and as hungry as we were, we still could not eat most of our dishes because they were not cooked properly ie chicken was raw and ribs were tough as leather, cold soggy fries andsad looking, disgusting veggies. What a disappointment. We couldn’t even order a beer or glass of wine even though they had it on their menu, because apparently, they have no liquor license yet. Until they smarten up, we will not be back.

What a disappointment. Cold soggy food coming way too late. What’s wrong with these people. The waitress tried well enough but what a waste. If this is what Swiss Chalet is all about, I won’t eat at any of them again.

Red Deer’s Swiss Chalet is open again under new management. The restaurant is bright and clean paying the most attention to their customersatisfaction ever. This time there is a Harvey’s Burgers attached to them. We were there on Father’s Day and our food was just awesome with good portion sizes. I would have to say service was spot on and a whole different restaurant than before. I would recommend for sure.

The rating is really only a 1/4 just because they had their lights on. Went out for supper here as they were advertising a two for one meal special on tv. So the special is narrowed down to a quarter chicken dinner, fair enough, that with an appetizer should be enough for the average person. When the meals came, I was shocked to see how small the chicken leg and thigh were. They must have either served us a Cornish game hen or perhaps a new breed of midget chicken brought out only when they are having a special. Just when we thought perhaps we were going to actually get a deal on a meal for two, they bring out these pint sized chicken pieces, and the best part is the waitress does it with a straight face. We wont complain about the service, we cant, there was none. Not once were we asked how our meal was or if we wanted a refill on the drinks, my wife flagged her down once and asked for a refill, but none was brought. So I get it now, the meal special is a midget sized chicken dinner with piss poor service, well what should we expect for half price, an actual normal sized meal and decent service, not a chance. Just another example of the crap that restaurants serve people and charge money for. Judging by the other reviews this place has ongoing issues, perhaps the manager should get the pail off her head and try managing, I’m sorry I know your busy negotiating deals on the next skinny chicken special. Oh and by the way there frumpy, how did you like your special midget sized tip.

Wouldn’t Feed It to My Dog. Ate at the Red Deer location. Run down location.Food was disgusting. Chicken was old, tough and dry.Salad was so old that it had entire rotted leaves.

Went to swiss chalet in red deer. Sat and watched a bunch of retarded 16yr old little girls mingle with each other while people waited for food. A family beside me had there food but could not eat it for a good 10 min cause the owners daughter did not bring them their forks. Watch one waitress try to keep things flowing smooth by picking up all the slack, found out the manager sits in the office with the owner drinking wine. Absolutely terrible restaurant! When people get these franchise why do they not get checked on to make sure they are holding up to the name. Oh my ribs I ordered were tough and could have been cooked better by my 5 yr old, baked potato was still raw in the middle. Won’t be going back that’s for sure.
