Food: Chicken Fajita Soup: This soup had such tender chicken pieces in it and it was spiced just right. The only thing I would of liked better is if its temperature would of been a bit hotter, I find soup tastes better if it is the right temperature.Italiano Sandwich: This sandwich was so simple, but it was so good. It was prosciutto with cheese in a fresh piece of bread. The quantity of meat versus cheese versus bread was perfect, all the flavors were able to shine through.Tea: Bonus marks for Coconut room because they serve loose tea, showing they know the importance of flavor and quality.Hot Chocolate: Beautifully presented.Savoury Scone: The scone did have lots of flavour, but its texture was off, it was pasty and did not feel right in the mouth.Service: Service was a bit slow and the food was not served together. I got my soup and had to wait a fairly long time before they brought my sandwich and they did not have to make it, it was already made, and they did not warm it up or anything, I saw they got busy taking other customer orders at the till and so I waited for my sandwich while my soup got cold. Service was friendly, but nothing special, they were busy and not enough people to provide customers extra attention.Appearance: The restaurant is clean and comfortable.Go Again: Yes

Great spot and amazing atmosphere – they have tons of tables and even a roof top balcony, though very small. The food is amazing but menu items are limited. Once you find something you like you’ll be hooked.

Nice atmosphere. First time there for me. I Had Coconut Chicken Curry, a warm Coke and a Scone. My wife had Spicy Lentil Dahl water and a scone. Cost was $40. I wasn’t overly happy with the size of the dish the soup came in, 4 spoonfuls and I was done. The scone had cheese in it but was dry. The lady at the front counter was quit nice but the other two making the meals didn’t seem overly joyed in helping the public. When we left I said goodbye to all and the two in the back didn’t respond, the front counter lady said goodbye.Don’t think I will be going back.

INCREDIBLE!. Not only were the staff and owners there for our every need and request but they went out of their way last minute to suit our party’s needs! The food was absolutely amazing! And the atmosphere was like no other in Red Deer! The store downstairs is one of a kind! Well worth every last penny!! 5 stars all the way for The Coconut Room

Great food, great coffee, a tad bit pricey to be honesty especially when the curry doesn’t even come with rice, but still very delicious. First time I came here it was just amazing. Seconds time the food was still good but service was terrible. The food came out all a doesn’t times, the first 2 dishes were cold, we had to get it microwaved. The employees were not very friendly, but not mean just not attentive. I did hear they have a cool surprise 3 course meal on Thursday evenings I would like to attend one day.

Coconut Room needs a tweaking!. When travelling through central Alberta we were pleased to find a lovely place to have a good latte and enjoy the ambiance of the adjoining retail space. We are travellers from Victoria and won’t be back soon, but your locals may encounter the two things we did and just not bother to come back. The latte (12 oz) is $5.00. We asked why it was so expensive and were told that the coffee comes from Hawaii. Now since 2 in our group had double shot Americano’s and 2 had double shot latte’s and the Americano’s were 3.00 each, I think it is the milk that is very expensive! Pricing has to make sense! The women’s bathroom is not so easy to fix. I am an average height (5’6) and my feet barely touched the floor when I sat down on the wall-mounted toilet.

Recommend Coconut room. First time to Coconut room tonight. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food. More than met our expectations. 35$ set menu on Thursday nights. Tonight was spinach salad, beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce and cambazola, and a lemon brownie. We’ll be back.
