On my recent sushi kick I discovered that I LOVE Maki2Go. This is legit sushi, which is not to say that they have a monopoly on sushi in town, but they do it right. A legit Japanese diploma hangs on the wall and they also speak Japanese- a real test of a genuine sushi place. They make their own pickled ginger and the wasabi is legit. The sashimi is cut well and not too thick and the timing is always perfect. The only reason for the 4.5 is that they don’t do tempura, though admittedly it is designed to be a Maki place (though they also do nigiri-zushi). Try it for lunch. The dynamite roll is my fav!
Came here for dinner and had it to go. I got a dynamite roll, a salmon roll and a spicy scallop roll. It was all really good except the crab in my dynamite roll was as dry as a cruton. As if it was sitting on the counter for a couple hours, which made it a little disappointing. The waiting time was quite quick though!
