A great day for a patio and this one is on the roof. Service is friendly, chatty and kept the drinks coming for four hours. Yes four hours. Turtle hour is three hours long and drinks are $5 margaritas and draft. Snacks of nachos, Hawaiian ribs, two cheese bacon burgers and suicide chicken wrap. Nachos are loaded, ribs are a bit tough, burger is huge and full of flavor and chicken wrap is very spicy. Nice meal and a great patio.
One of favourite pubs in RD. Unfortunately as parents we don’t get out much and can’t frequent Toad N Turtle as much as we like. However we did stop for Caesars the other day when we were out solo and totally could have stayed all day to eat and drink!
Kept hearing about Toad ‘N’ Turtle’s fabulous mini yorkies. Gotta say they were really good. One critic, they should put some horseradish in the horseradish dip. Otherwise awesome, kettle chips were really good too.Traditional pub style atmosphere teamed with wonderful wait staff.I shall return !
Had the wrap, filling was great but how the wrap was made was terrible! The filling was literally just rolled (wrapped) in the wrap and cut in half, neither end was folded in. This of course resulted in much of the content and all the juices falling or running out…quite the mess eating it as one can appreciate. Would NOT recommend eating any of their wraps if they’re all made like this.
just to let all Albertans know, toad n turtle will not pay there cleaning bill,3months past due, is this fair? no its not.red deer restaurant should be blacklisted for this attitude.ask Laura or Paul why they won’t pay.they want to steal money from the little guy.
Kitchen times are so slow I’ve seen people walk out. Most of the food is pre packaged so I don’t see how it’s so slow. Don’t get me started on the staff turn around and how bad the management is there.. Great place to stop and take a piss before headed down the road. But that’s about all its got going for it.
Kitchen took forever to make our food, bartenders were great and gave us free shots tho. Beer was cold and tasty but I wouldn’t eat here again. Manager wasn’t helpful.
