Appearance: This is a bus that is turned into a restaurant and there is seating inside the bus or on the patio in front of the bus. It is located on Ross street in downtown Red Deer. The patio furniture is getting worn, the four chairs at our table were stretched out, so when you sat on them your bum fell between the rubber slats, not very comfortable. The area was clean, but a few more umbrellas for shade and more greenery would make the place more inviting.Service: Nothing special, but friendly and sufficient.Food: Lemonade: This was tart, but refreshing, nothing special.Reuben Grilled Sandwich: This sandwich contained: sauerkraut, gruyere, corned beef, Russian dressing, and swiss cheese on rye bread. The bread to sandwich ingredients ratio was a bit off; a slightly thicker sliced bread would be more appropriate. More sauerkraut would of made the sandwich taste profile better and also just a bit more corn beef and more dressing. The sandwich is served with plain potato chips and then a very small amount of coleslaw which I am not to sure if there was dressing on it or not, it was fresh coleslaw, but no taste of dressing. The plain potato chips should be rethought and something with a bit more visually appealing and taste appealing like big garlic dill pickles or beets would make this a better sandwich presentation in my books.Go Again: Maybe

Great ambiance. Traptow’s Cool Beans is quite a charming place to enjoy a good coffee – double-decker bus charming. Perfect place in downtown Red Deer to stop on a Saturday morning.On the first visit my wife and I made to Traptow’s, we had a little trouble getting service, which I expressed in my previous review. However, owner Kevin Traptow graciously responded and invited us to give them another try. Our next visit was marked with great service, and we enjoyed our coffee, lemonade, and Panini sandwiches under an umbrella in front of the bus.By the way, if you do try a Panini, you won’t leave hungry – they are generously sized and very tasty!
Love the Bus!. Cool Beans Bus. You go for the experience, stay for the coffee. Great customer service with a side of wit, paninis that are amazing (ask for a Bex – so good!) and a race to the bus when you know that chocolate rootbeer cupcakes are on the menu! It’s easy to tell that the Traptows are passionate about their business, and it translates into their passion for a great cuppa Joe. My kids love it. I love it. Love the bus!
Good coffee. Love this place people down to earth great almond lattes( can’t have dairy so love this option and it’s better than soy milk) yes i would definitely go again
